I apologize for hijacking your thread; it wasn't my intention to do so. I'll be more careful in the future.

take care...

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

I like this demonstration of rolex toughness and it fits with how I want my watch to be. Bullet proof. I was on blancpain forum yesterday and whilst they think rolex is a bit common apparently they respect the toughness of the movement that's for sure. They even said it's made other manufacturers improve durability cause now everyone thinks you can do anything with a mechanical watch on.

I mixed 30 bags of concrete, poured four concrete piers, cut the ledger board and using a hammer drill, hammer and other tools, securely fastened it to the existing house foundation. My watch is no worse for wear.

I will continue to wear it as I begin framing the floor, walls and roof. At the moment, I am watching and waiting for the piers to cure sufficiently to drill and install the anchors for the rim joist.

I did wear the watch in the shower when I cleaned up. Mostly because it was sweaty and gross, as was I.
You are a brave man!

Keep on doing what you have been doing. You seem to happy with your watch and that is what matters.

I'm just glad it's you doing all that work and not me, especially in that Missouri summer humidity...

They are phenomenally tough watches! I wear mine doing everything; canoeing, hiking, camping, gardening, weightlifting, hot yoga, sex, biking, movies, sleep... hell even getting raw sewage on it while trying to prevent a major flood of my house. It's tougher than I am. Just shower with it and you'll be fine, & so will the watch.
