Five thousand dollars is a lot of money if you were not prepared to spend it. The Explorer 2 is a great watch. I suspect the Daytona will follow. Think of it this way: you can have both, just the order differs.

If the fit of the daytona was better for me I would have easily dumped the five extra on it, oh well I almost dropped it on the two tone gmt master instead but I'm happy with what transpired cheers

The classic polar explorer is one that I consider adding to my stable on a regular basis.
It's just a matter of time.
Every time I think I like the Daytona, I remember the screw down chrono buttons, and it's off the list again.

IMHO the exp 2 is potentially the most attractive watch out there.

I'm a huge daytona fan. Huge.

But if u already have the exp, easy decision.

I would not impose any deadline. Just wait for that 100% feeling you must have it.

I went for the Daytona over the other sport models at the time I bought it. I am just a fan of complicated movements. You won't regret the Daytona. It's a great piece but it is personal preference. In my honest opinion though I think the SS Daytona with the white face will look better than the other model

Use a trusted seller #1. I say get the exp2 polar AND pick up an omega planet ocean 45.5mm 8500 in house movement at the same time and still be cheaper than the Daytona!!

....BUT I'm not a fan of the Daytona. (Flame suit on) lol

The Daytona is a classic! But 5k is a new watch. I would go for the Explorer, but that's just me. Good luck on your decision!

Difficult choice. The Explorer II is something that is floating in my mind since I got the Daytona. Now I am thinking of either the Explorer II or the BLNR.

So you probably end up getting both at the end.

No question daytona looks and feels awesome, it just didn't have the appearance and size on the wrist that appealed to me, it ran to small on my wrist

It is amazing how many times people always debate 'X' or the EXP II. EXP II frequently a bride's made. It obviously has something special to always be in the running.
