I was probably a little young for the real look, but I remember my brother sporting a pink jacket and pink leather tie with white slacks from memory for his 21st birthday..... don't think you could find that gear today.

People say 1984 was the best year ever and the true start of the 80's. I have an 80's obsession that dwarfs my Rolex obsession. That says a lot.

http://mattdruid.blogspot.com/2009/0...-ever.html?m=1

The style, vibe, music of the 80's just gets me.

I have a 250 song play list of every amazing 80's song ever made. Took me 2 years to make. Its my prized possession.

I have to watch it to see if was that episode.

Here is a pic of my boat. I had to scan it from an old photo. It was seen for about 20 seconds in the background.

No digital cameras or computers back then.

Do you know what episode they were shooting?

I know "red tape" season 3 and "lombard" were filmed at Dania beach marina!

This was 25-30 years ago and I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

The boat had "Moving Violations" in huge letters custom painted on both sides if you happen to see it.

Interesting observation Matthew.
Matt Druid's recompilation nails it.
Fresh into high school, it was the beginning of era for me,
one that lasted well into my college years.
Truly memorable. Your 80's music collection must be epic.

I would do ANYTHING to live through the 80's as a teenager. I fell in love with Miami from a combination of my love for 80's music,Miami Vice,Scarface and my favorite video game of all time GTA Vice City which takes place in Miami.

You play wiseguy from New York trying to make a name for yourself in 1986 Miami Florida. The game had the most epic 80's soundtrack ever which made me fall in love with it. When you would get in trouble in the game you have cops chase you in a white ferrari dressed like Crockett and Tubbs. When I played that game as a kid I though that "Vice City" didnt exist. When I found out it was a real place I knew I had to move there someday. Miami ruled the world during the 80's and the history just fascinates me. Moved here after high school at 18 ( 22 now ) and couldnt be happier. I drive around on my Vespa listening to 80's tracks visiting Miami Vice filming locations. Im a total loser I know.

No that's just awesome! All that matters is that you are enjoying life, in a very good way.
