IWC is my choice between these two. Pepsi looks just like the SS version and for the money we are talking I would need a watch with more complications that doesn't look exactly like its $6k counterpart.

I have a Rolex GMT-II, all black Y-series. It's my favorite watch. I also have an IWC 3756 GST Perpetual, which is my second favorite watch. Rolex is a tank of a watch. I don't baby my IWC but I don't consider it a tank like I do the Rolex. What you get will depend on which works best for you. If you want something a little dressier, go with the IWC. If you want something very sporty, go with the GMT. I'm not going to make a decision for you.

The IWC is beautiful but for me I don't do dressier watches or straps and honestly the WG GMT is really as perfect an all around do anything go anywhere watch as you can get....PM, GMT, bezel, cyclops, WG bracelet = perfect watch!

IWC all day for me. With the Pepsi, you're just getting a BLNR movement in a gold case and a colourful bezel. And yes...that Cyclops is woeful.

The rolex you can just glance at it see a lack of quality control. Disappointing at that price point.

That being said, IWC all day long.

As much as I love Rolex, I would go with the IWC here. While they are different animals, the IWC is a much more impressive piece. Also, QC on the Pepsi is disappointing given the cyclops magnification problem. For that kind of money, Rolex really needs to come clean on this and fix it as the problem appears pervasive.

There are so many other perpetual calendars I'd own before buying the IWC, so in this case I'd go Pepsi.

The IWC is a great complication, but a tad too large and chunky.

It being in the same ballpark, I would take a rose gold Aquanaut over either of these.

That IWC is THE one.

What a beauty.

Who wants an SS looking watch at that price point.

And that cyclops magnification makes it look like a fake.

I like the Pepsi more. I'm partial to Rolex though. I even ditched all my Pateks for Rolex...

The IWC at this price point is clearly the better choice.

I am typically a Rolex person but love a perpetual calendar complication and this IWC is one beautiful piece. I'd choose the IWC.

IWC. You can buy virtually the same GMT for much much less, you can buy a SS perpetual calendar. And while I love most of the older IWC novelties, this is one of the modern watches I lust over. Sorry, but the BLRO is a nice watch, but would just as much fancy a BLNR for about 20k less.

Actually it's installed correctly. The idea is that you are usually looking at your watch at an angle. From that perspective the date is centered. You are rarely checking the time/date straight on....
