DD2 has been in my dreams past few years. It is still my grail. If I owned one today, I would not flip it for the smaller 40.

No, I would not flip my DDII nor would I be interested in the DD40. I understand progress marches on but I have found what I like and will figure out how to get a DDII in platinum with the concentric dial. My current Grail.

On the German Rolex forum, both owners have spent considerable time at the Rolex booth and confirmed , DDII and DD40 have interchangeable dials.

The same meeting also confirmed DDII termination, it was even said Rolex was very direct and firm about it.

A Swiss journalist also mentioned 'all' dials available for the DD40 specifically mentioning the 'normal' non laser etched dials.

It makes total sense as the DD is about choice, both in dials as in languages.

No. I absolutely love my DDII. And, I think it is my favorite in the Rolex lineup.

I would however, get the 40mm in a different color gold. In fact, it gives me a nice excuse to get it in YG potentially, without feeling like I am being too redundant.

Yes, new 40mm is perfect with the stick markers is awesome! Love the proportions! Only issue for me is I'm not a fan of the new roman numerals.

I'd love to see a pic or two of your dd2. Mind telling me what's not to like about your dd2?
