I'd pass. If I wanted a blackout watch, I'd get a Omega DSOTM.

X2. It wouldn't take long before the watch was two-tone.

I think it looks good, but that is because the Daytona is a good-looking watch.
However - is there any black material apart from ceramic (think Rado) that isn't going to wear-off in different spots with use?

Not as your only rolex. Possibly as a third or fourth rolex.

Not my cup of tea personally but I can see how some of these customised models have a place.
I'd be interesting to know if anyone here has owned one and sold it . . . . . And was it easy to sell? It's a limited market anyway and to sell on might be tough. Can't recall anyone on here or any other forums anyone posting that they actually own one |

If you had a large daytona collection, I could see that fitting in, but not for me as tour only daytona.

I like it. I wouldn't spend the money it. Also, the image looks like a rendering not a real watch, so kind of hard to officially weigh in.

The more modified Daytona's there are, the more my unmolested 116520 increases in value
It's not for me, but I can appreciate the customization. |

I prefer factory PVD or DLC which takes Rolex out of the running. That being said if my watch-well was deep enough I'd likely pick up a couple pieces from Bamford once I had every factory piece I wanted from Rolex.
The Daytona above is okay but Bamford has more interesting colors and also dies custom work - IMHO PVD looks better on the Rolex divers.

Anyone else notice the spelling of "superlativ" without the final E on the dial? If you go for it, make sure that doesn't happen on the final product...
Personally prefer my unmodified black Daytona- |

Rolex has hundreds of professionals looking at designs. Research, tested and surveyed.
Why go and modify it? If we do not like the current daytona (which is possible), just passed. Strictly NO. For any branded goods. Sm |

First scratch throught the DLC and itll look cheap. Try flipping it after that. Looks cool but I dont see any longevity in the coating. I can agree with some mods that people do, but this is over the top for me. My 2 cents.
