Tesco or Asda (or local New Zealand equivalent) these buggers tamper with the zero.
Very, very accurate electronic scales.....same scales each time. They measure down to the last one gram.

If it's any consolation, had you lost a gram, you would have been back to the RSC in arms... If your scale is only accurate to the gram, it could be rounding up and creating much to-do about nothing...

If he did'nt take all the knocks, no one would talk to him and poor Zemina would have to listen to him 24 hours a day. . We do this for his wonderful wife, childern, and grand-childern.

Well actually JJ, you ARE losing some mass off your watch, BUT it is only micro/milli grams.

Any form of polishing removes some material. The butchers scales are only accurate within 1 gram or maybe 5 gram increments (depending on how they are calibrated).

If you put it on proper jewellers scales, which measure on a very small scale, you will note a slight difference (maybe). In any event, some mass is lost.

BUT, this is the price we pay to make our beloved watches look like new.

Well done buddy, she's a beauty.

John.

It was done by RSC so I'm sure the guys barely touched it. It's as if the hand of God lives there, still being omnipotent of course. But all jokes aside, RSC tries it's best to barely touch the case, so very little was removed, not enough to even try to measure.

Thanks for the reassurance, Dalton. Coming from a skilled artisan as yourself, I will believe every word of that!!

But to weigh a Sub you need a balance that will weigh up to +130g and most micro balances only weigh up to 30g.
IMO 0.01g would be good for a 150g capacity balance.
