Well that sucks...at least you've got the Daytona to keep you company while the sub is being repaired. And I hope you don't have to replace the whole bezel insert just to get the pearl. Fingers crossed.

So quick follow up to this thread and the biggest FAIL from the jeweler I got it from...So before I sent to RSC, I brought it back to the place I originally bought the watch from...They took a pearl from a older submariner and glued it on the new LV. I picked it up the next day and it looked ok...UNTIL NIGHT TIME...I looked down at the watch and the pearl was glowing a different color than the markers in the dial....I'm like WTF! NOT HAPPY WITH THIS!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...SENT IT TO RSC!

Just curious: what type of glue/adhesive did they use? Would it have stayed on permanently, including under water?

the different lume on the pearl would annoy me too.

What are the chances of knocking the pearl out like that .. crazy bad luck. hope you get it sorted out soon

They used some special "rolex issued adhesive glue" but I knew that was temporary fix....in fact, I was putting on my shirt and put my arms through the sleeve and it got caught on a thread a popped back off....SMH....That's when I said, screw this ....RSC here it comes!

I would think a very special/strong adhesive or bonding material would be required.
Surely RSC will do a good job.
Looks like you'll just get to enjoy your Daytona more!

In my experience the one to watch out for is the Deepsea, since its pearl protrudes more than the Sub's.

Mine shattered after colliding with a door and I was told by RSC that I'd have to change the whole bezel if I want it replaced. I've left it for now since it isn't really noticeable.

Must feel good to have it back, but three weeks for just that feels excessive.

I presume the lume matches.

I'm glad you got it done. If it were me, its absence would bother me.

Yes now they can replace the pearl only Rolex have developed a special tool just for that purpose.

chances are they have a tool to align the pearl with the bezel n just super glue it back.
a lot of times, we overthink about how something is fixed.
$120 thank u

Yeah. All these people praising Rolex for "only" a $120 repair are making me laugh

There is no way they glued it back on! They fixed it professionally and properly and YES it matches the same glow.
