Different circumstance in my life but I needed to liquidate a couple Panerai that meant less to me when my car got damaged by a rogue tire on the highway. I could have swung the extra cash by pulling some funds for my savings but it just didn't seem right.

Not comparing a car to a pet, just reassuring you that you're definitely making the right move and I get it. Hope it all works out for your pup.
