So nice. So what made you decide on the 18038 and not the other ones like the 18238 or 118238?

Congrats! Awesome looking vintage DD! I wanted to check out Paul Duggan's shop so badly when I was in Boston earlier this year, but they were closed the entire July 4th weekend.

Because the 18038 I bought was the only white roman president available on the grey market in Boston in a very long time. If it had been a 18238 or 118238 I would've got those instead, but having already acquired 2 rolexes this year already, finding a surprisingly excellent condition 32 year old 18038 was perfect at a 9k cash out the door price point.

Also in regards to its condition, this thing is practically immaculate. The bracelet stretch on it really isn't bad at all, which leads me to believe that this watch probably sat in a safe for most of it's life. I've seen pictures of some really awful stretch before. That was actually the first thing I asked before I went down to the shop, for them to text me a picture of the bracelet hanging like in this picture (which I took myself after I got home). I feel like I really lucked out today.

Here's a picture of the stretch, what do you guys think about its condition?

Great choose 3 nice watches in a year tells me the itch will be hard to satiate. By the way a great pick up, going to PD remains on my watch visit list as well as European watch, just need to get to boston for long enough to visit.

both stores post their inventories online on their respective websites so you can see what they got w/o going in
