The free people of the world cannot keep putting up with this. Thoughts are with the innocent people who have to be victims for other people's religous wars.

As ever, the world sees that once again, be it Oklahoma City, New York, Barcelona, London, or Paris, it is the simplest of men who are the first to respond: Cops. Medics. First responders. And all who support them. I know what they face. They are not forgotten.

Strange and unfortunate event. Paris is such a successful city - in business, culture, tourism, fashion and so many other areas. Hate to see people drag it down to their level with violence.

Very tragic. Paris is one of my favorite cities to visit. May all the victims rest in peace and my condolences to all the families impacted by this horrible event!

Prayers to all the Parisians, how horrible this all is....

Forgive me, but a question for you all: If you were planning to go to Paris in the next two weeks, would you still go given today's events?

Yes, I sure would. Terror should not be met with fear. and cowering As long as everything was open, I would go.

After the bombings here in Bangok, I was in the same area the very next day. Obviously, not even the same magnitude, but same idea.

In '97 we had the shooting in Luxor . . .
I was there just a day earlier

Should we be the slave / victim of intimidation ?

I think people who do things like this or placing bombs and killing innocent people . . . are big cowards !

A sad thing if you ask me . . .

I know many of you have small children. As the reports and 24hr coverage keeps coming in, I am reminded of something I saw after 9/11. There was a rebroadcast of something Fred Rodgers once said. Mr Rodgers told his audience that whenever something awful happens and you are afraid, look for the helpers. Look at the images of those police officers, medics, firemen, doctors, nurses, and complete strangers who rush to the aid of the victims of a tragedy. Children need to know that bad things happen, but they also need to know that there is always help.

"In spite of everything, I still believe people are basically good"
-Anne Frank

^^^ Good post

There are 7 billion people on this planet (1.6 billion Muslims) of which there is a very small percentage that are carrying out these atrocities in the name of Islam and have nothing in common with the Muslim ideology.

These terrorists will not prevail purely down to the weight of numbers that are against them
