Glad you are able to get one! I've been casually looking too, with no luck so far.

Didn't mean any disrespect at all. Since, as you say, you didn't read my whole post before commenting, I could see how it might have been misleading. In fact, I said that not agreeing with the fact that something that was once free costing something later is perfectly fine. It was a reply to Leon's post, and I was just making a comment on basic economics. And my full disclosure comment was meant to show that I would indeed be a bit bias.

Again, my apologies, I should have done a much better job with my wording.
I am very glad that you were able to get it worked out and hope we are cool

I should have read the whole comment before my response and that's my bad on my part. I apologize, I was a little tired of getting mostly a$$ hat answers from most people. Thank you for your comment

Myself would not pay either for anything that was originally free, trouble in today's modern Rolex world anything Rolex some just see it as just ££££$$$$ its called greed. It was the same when the in-house Daytona was introduced in 2000 most went to the black/grey market and sold for crazy prices for those willing to pay.And those who wanted to own a Daytona could not get one at retail for love or money. You could say the same about the 16610LV those who wanted to change the green insert to black and those with a normal 16610 wanting to change to green. At one time the insert was the same price as the black, but now the green insert is $300.And green inserts are Rolex exchange only, afraid today the modern age Rolex owner in many ways have made a rod for there own back.I remember quite a few years back a few members wanted a Rolex anchor at the time I had 4. So I gave away 3 to TRF members who wanted one and remember quite well two of those members did not even say thank you after posting to America at my expense,I did not want anything back but a thank you would have been welcomed but that's today modern world for you.

Agreed!!! Yes, the magazine is free, but available only at an AD. There are a limited number of copies and loyal customers to the AD usually get copies first which makes them more limited. Getting mad, being disrespectful, and calling people names isn't going to be productive for anyone.

No worries my friend. Sounds like apologies accepted all around. I think we've just had some unfortunate miss-interpretations in this thread.

I think we should all step back, remember why we are here - in one hand raise our Rolex's to the sky, in the other wave our bic lighters, and led by our great moderators all sing kumbaya.............................Guy's?........ ..............................Anyone?............. ..................

I wanted the original issue #1 since it included the DSSD, in looking at this thread I think I did alright when I stumbled upon an unused one and bought it for $5. It was one of just a couple listed on eBay at the time.

Did any of the magazines feature the SD4K?

Thanks.

I'm looking for Issue 1 also and called around. No luck other than what's on eBay.

Hi, there are copies of issue one around, you just need to be active on the various trading sites and be prepared to negotiate. Thanks.

Hi, I'm also looking for a copy of Issue #1. I'd be willing to negotiate a price (or trade #3 or 4). PM me please if anyone is interested.

I just picked up issue #5 from my AD and immediately devoured it. Now I want a Yacht-Master II 😱
I have all the issues except #1, which is a shame because I own the Daytona - it was my first Rolex
I would so appreciate a lead to track down a copy of issue #1.

Rolex magazine review

Hi folks, does anyone know the link to the post where somebody had kindly provided a review of each of the five issues of the Rolex magazine ?
I had read it and then lost the link to the page - and now need to refer back to it.
For the life of me I can't find it with a page search.

Thanks in advance.
Colin.
