Super Bowl 50...Ring vs a Rolex?

as we all know, heavy gold rings encrusted with diamonds are the traditional players, coaches & owners rewards for winning a championship series like the NFL/Super Bowl & MLB/World Series et al.

truth is some guys don't wear rings (or even like them). I've heard that most championship rings cost around $10K or so. if a team were to substitute an engraved Rolex in lieu of a championship ring, how much (or what model) would $10K cover as far as a Rolex is concerned?

I haven't bought a new watch or Rolex in years & so I am somewhat unacquainted with the current price revisions. to me, a nice watch would certainly be more practical than a gaudy ring.
