If someone just came out of no where and grabbed my wrist I'd turn their jaw in to a jigsaw puzzle.

Icon12 we feel you...

You have to consider the source! Your source was someone who doesn't know about the finer things in life and especially Rolex watches.

If anyone of us was sitting next to you and saw that watch, we would comment on it's timeless beauty, and how it compliments your intelligence for acquiring such a uncompromising Timepiece!

It has happened to all of us. So many have asked, "Is that Real?" or something to that effect... But remember, most of the folks who finally find out it's real, and obviously less likely in a drinking environment, are suddenly filled with emotion, and really don't know how to act or what to say. They want to act like it's not a big deal, or they could have bought one but why, they have an iphone... And, all the reasons why you shouldn't spend so much on so little...

Michael Kors...??! "What in the heck is a Michael Kors?"

I've had my DJ mistaken for a Michael kors. "I love your watch. My boyfriend has one just like it but it's gold. Michael kors right?" I just smiled and nodded and went on with my business

UK is a pretty big on personal space so that kind of scenario would rarely happen and if it did, it mostly probably would escalate very quickly!

I guess that idiot was rather lucky on this occasion.

Normally agree that personal space violation is an issue in the UK.

And grabbing someone's wrist is very uncalled for.

But in a bar, inhibitions are lowered, perhaps just someone who's had a few too many.

Funny, I was in a meeting yesterday and someone was wearing that MK watch! Did not love it but I do love the DD40.

I just straight up murder everyone who looks at me.
Yesterday, I punched a squirrel who asked me for a nut.

What were we talking about, again?

Oh, yes, now let me tell you my thoughts on rose gold...

...I think it's lovely, but it will eventually be less in fashion and for now, it does have a fashion association.

I was asked more that once when I first purchased my YG DDII 5 years ago if it was a Fossil, MK, whatever, to which I just replied 'it's called a Day Date II' and would tell people it was made by Rolex if the followed up with asking who the manufacturer was. I was 2 years older than you are now with your watch. These questions didn't bother me or make me feel sad or ruin my day/night in the least. I truly think that if you're going to wear a Rolex, especially a fully precious metal model, you need to do so for yourself and not give one whit about what others think of your watch.

You grab my wrist and I'll likely punch you in the eye! (And I'd probably get my a** kicked afterwards)

But anyway, at least he argued it was a Rolex!

I know the brand a bit, but does MK make watches (or anything) for men? Always thought of it as a woman's brand, so confused why anyone would thing a male is wearing a MK watch.

They make them. A friend of mine was super happy about his new MK watch recently.

It looked exactly like a IWC Pilot minus the Chrono - I gave him a thumbs up and if he liked it, who the hell am I to judge.

If I don't know you, you def shouldn't be grabbing my wrist with my watch. Although I guess I'd have to take the environment into consideration. If we're at an expensive charity dinner, I'll prob just chalk it up to someone who took advantage of the open bar. If I'm at the park with my kid, I'd be thinking robbery...

To the OP. I could care less if someone thinks I'm wearing an Invitca, MK, or anything else. I wear my watches for me, okay and the other WIS types out there. 90% of the world has no idea what we're wearing and they don't care. Enjoy that DD40! If you're truly upset about it, send it to me so you don't have to worry about anyone thinking it's a MK again ;)

Exactly. If you want to ask me a question, that's one thing. You grab me and I don't know you, we are gonna have issues.

Well there you go guys, it's official, Rose Gold DayDate 40 looks like an Michael Kors.

Do you think it might be my age? I'm 31?

Let them think its MK, at least u wont get bad eye on your watch nor people staring at it with jealous envy.

Post some more shots! This is my fav of the DD40 combos.

Grabbing a stranger's wrist...that's a big no no.
I have gotten the "Is that an Invicta" comment before and I just laugh it off.

Made my day

The simple fact is that MK has popular knockoffs of the DD. I think it is a good thing for DD owners as the relatively showy piece is muted by the sea of people wearing full gold (plated) these days.

That said, I would be on high alert after that event as it could be a set up.

First things first - we set boundaries. Keep your f'ing hands off me. After that, how you respond is your decision.

Agreed mate - this type of action in the wrong bar in the UK could get one "glassed" as they say.

Confuse my watch for a Mickey Mouse one if you want but a stranger grab my wrist? Could end up being a very bad outcome.
