At first I thought they were really interesting but as my taste has matured a little, I don't find them all that appealing. There's lots of great brands like IWC and Panerai that make DLC and ceramic watches if I find one day that I really want one.

They look worn to me right from the get go.

I think it's interesting. Not like any modern Rolex is some rare precious gem so a little variation doesn't hurt anything. But no way would I buy one of those at those prices.

the Pro Hunter is to Rolex what AMG is to Mercedes...that is their marketing/advertising slogan.

http://www.discoverprohunter.com/concept/

being that AMG offers both cosmetic as well as performance options for MB, it is highly unlikely that these aftermarket models exceed any 'performance' standards of a conventional Rolex...at best all the customer gets is an ugly watch.

when the name first came up, I presumed Rolex had come up with a safari sports model but in reality, one can bag a rhino or giraffe wearing any kind of watch so long as the professional (or amateur) hunter has a good rifle, trusty guide, a reliable Landrover & willing to incur the wrath of PETA.

Rolex apparently endorses this design abortion to a certain extent or else they would have put their foot down on its continued production.

Doesn't that automatically invalidate the warranty?

Let's just say that Rolex won't touch it in that condition.

People must be buying this crap, otherwise they wouldn't keep making them. Tons of them on eBay too.

A DLC black Daytona really appeals to me, but for some reason these don't look anywhere near as good as the Project X versions. I wouldn't say no to one as a gift, but you won't see me putting my hand in my wallet for one.

They look like great watches for police or military use. Maybe even professional burglars....

just not to my taste , and certainly not at those prices, but to each their own.

Sorry, not for me.

They look generic compared to other "tactical" watches out there (and way cheaper). They're just capitalizing on the Rolex brand name.

No thanks.
