Haha I have both. I did this to stir up some controversy. Which it did! My word. My collection as it sits this week is a 5711/1P (my grail I got last year) 15202 (my second one after some small problems with the first one), 116719BLRO incoming this week. I also have some other less important steel pieces for fun...

Pieces I let go from boredom last year: 5205R black, 1675 Gilt, 5517, 16520 (white), Speedy Pro, 5396G non sector, 5164, 5712/1A

Incoming piece this year: 5170G-010, 16520 drop dial, 6262 Paul Newman (if things continue to go well with business), 116655 (for fun, probably won't last long in the collection).

Great pic and I would probably go for this as the blue dial on the AP didn't quite pop for me, but the 15202or overall.

The Jumbo is 39mm, NOT 41mm. Again, no idea what you're talking about.

Service time for an AP, 12-16 weeks... Where did you come up with this? Lemme guess, same place you found the Jumbo is 41mm, in BS land.

As for your "notable owners", EVERY brand is going to have good and bad owners. And on that note, if you're going with make believe ppl (Magnum PI), then I'm gonna throw in Rolex wearing Mafioso Tony Soprano. You do know he kills ppl right? Runs gambling and prostitution rings too... Be hey, that's cool, right?

Hmmm....'tacky urban person' (could you please expand on your definition).

BTW looks like the 'non-Rolex' friends you listed didn't get the memo:

For the OP, both great watches ideal for any collection.
Those watches all are fake. If someone that looked like that walked in to an AD, a security guard would politely escort them out on to the streets where they belong.

Oh now you've done it. At least 50% of the Sub-fetishists around here just had circuit breakers popping in their heads and will soon be queuing-up at the Doc's for the same condition. Some might even be so distraught they'll re-think what watch looks good with a tux.

As for the question, as nice as the Jumbo is it's gotta be the BLRO because, you know, Pussy Galore.

[Trying to get this thread back on track]

BLRO is a beauty for sure and more robust, but if I could only have one, I'd get the Jumbo for sure.

It's really on a different level on so many ways.

My friend Alotta Fagina says she has a thing about Jumbo Royal Oaks.

Its just an over priced steel watch with a none magnified date, I'd love to hear the pretentious reasons that anyone on this forum has for pretending that its on the same level as a solid gold ceramic Rolex.

Exactly, well put. Knee jerk 'trolling' is never appropriate.

I'm constantly amazed by the lack of civility that has become the hallmark of many on TRF. Gone are the days when we could ask questions and learn.

Some of you are just plain jerks,
