Never bothered with the hype. It is a great new watch and I love that the bezel now won't get scratched up and that the numbers won't fade.

It's a nice watch but I think I like vintage Daytonas a bit better though I prefer ceramic GMTs etc...

I have never been a big Daytona fan but the new Daytona-C looks incredible! I think it's a grand slam for Rolex.

Not bored with all the great pics and incomings. It is a stunning piece and my appreciation for the black model has grown by leaps and bounds. And huge congrats to our members who are lucky enough to have one.
Bored to tears with all the hype and speculation threads. |

Sure, there's a lot of hype.
And it's justified! Great watch. It would be such a privilege to wear one. |

Who got already bored of the new steel DaytonaC
Got this instead. When trying to get the watch (Daytona C) is harder than the value, people move on.
To me this is a marketing failure. Think apple making their phones unobtainable. Apple would go bankrupt. So here it is: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not bored yet. Patiently waiting and not really bothered by the wait anymore to be honest. There is other fish to fry and when it arrives, it arrives.

I agree with Ken. The watch has evolved into something very special. When you have the opportunity to see it in real life... You will understand what all the fuss is all about.

I don't hate it, in fact I don't hate much of anything or anyone at all. However, I just prefer the 116520

Well although the ceramic is scratch resistant they do scratch and hit them hard enough they will shatter as ceramic is quite brittle. Now the aluminium insert on my 6263 is now 33 years old yet show no sign of fade or scratches, and as the ceramic is quite recent we will have to wait quite a few more years yet to see if they fade..

The only thing I dislike about the 116500 is that mine hasn't arrived yet.

You said it!! The word new should not be confused with better. I have an AD not 5 min from my house and was ready to drop the cash but a simple change of bezel just doesn't do it for me. Not a hater, just doesn't work for me. It will be big for Rolex however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just had a phone call from my AD and I'm third on the list to get a white dial one. ETA.....about 12 months!! Don't care though. Can't wait and like a kid at Christmas.

I'm putting off buying my next Rolex, a SD4K, until I see the 116500 in person. Can't say I'm bored but know that I need to see it in person before I know if I'm excited about it.

I dont think i'll ever get bored of any Rolex watch.
I do however find some Rolexes a little bit less exciting than others, but the DaytonaC is not the case. |

Love the Daytona c but not for the current price it's going for from the grey market.

It's a gorgeous watch and I cannot wait to get mine. The only thing I will say is that that initial search of adrenaline I had when the first few owners started trickling in, that feeling that I just had to have the watch that very first week has now faded back. Instead of counting the days until I get the call, I'm in a calm place where I still have fantastic enjoyment with my current collection and I'm not feeling that intense wanton passion like I did back in April. What I will also say is that your photos of your black model are making a rethink my decision to purchase a white model. I adore my Submariner and I can't see it ever getting shelved but then again I am a black dial guy, never quite have warmed up to the white, but I don't want two black dialed watches in the Submariner and the Daytona (not to mention my 1016) to compete with each other too much every day. So I am in a strange place where I know black would be the better decision but in the context of the rest of my collection white makes more sense. |

It's the hot new update of one of their hot models. We're going to be talking about it for a loooong time. Lol.
And it definitely looks better than the last iteration. Though I still don't think that I want one.

Probably the most over hyped watch ever. I saw it on display and it looks tiny. It also looks very feminine with its rounded sides and small bezel. Put next to a gmt or sub and it also looks very dated in its case design.
That said when I put it on the wrist it looked a lot better than I thought it would. |

For me, my 116520 is still great. No need to "upgrade" to the ceramic.
