Sure you can, I try not to. Well tailored suit, nice shoes and belt..... dive watch. Just doesn't do it for me.

A nice watch on a leather strap will always look better with a suit.

Business causal and that's a different story. Definitely works.

i'm sorry for making things difficult.

from experience, though, once the LVc is on the mind, it is an inevitability....you must do it. so, might as well give in and start enjoying this wonderful watch!

Looks great! I pretty much wear my sub with anything that floats my boat from dinner suit to shorts and Chaco's. It's 2016 not many barriers left if you can't beat them join them.

That convention was broken a long time ago. Wear whatever you want with a suit. Wasn't it Bill Clinton who would wear his Timex Ironman with a suit?

I remember it well.

Rules may change, or perhaps they never really existed in the first place. Conventions however are not so simply defined by whatever personality or celebrity du jour chooses to wear, or not to wear.

If the face in the mirror isn't the leader of the free world, or Her Majesty's finest secret agent, then I'm not sure a plastic Timex, or a sports Rolex, is the best choice with formal attire. Certainly not "conventional".

When did Bill Clinton become a fashion icon?

I am deciding what to wear for my brother's wedding this Saturday (best man, wearing a tux). I will be downtown all weekend in a hotel. Friday we are taking the kids to the Zoo. I would really only like to take one watch with me. Since it is supposed to be HOT this weekend and I can adjust the sub's bracelet so easily I am leaning that way.

I would normally wear my Aqua Terra with any dress clothes, but I am really thinking the sub is best for versatility all weekend...

Realistically it will be under my cuff anyway, and I don't think anyone will see it.

I've always liked the GMT dressed up. The PCLs are great with a dress shirt. It's a bit less chunky too. But the sub look is growing on me.

As Eric's great pic shows it works just fine, esp if you have matching cufflinks.

Love the Cuff Links. Are they Tiffany?
I have two pairs of movement cuff links that are a lot of fun.

Not sure why Tapatalk changed my pic to the wrong one.

Does it work with a suit? Yes, Absolutely and it'll still look good while doing it. Do some Rolexes work better with a suit than a Sub? Yes, Absolutely.

Not really a suit but since I can dress how I want I almost never choose a suit these days.

I'm mostly a suit guy and can attest that Subs work fine with suits. Especially in gold.
