My AD said that it would rain tomorrow. He was kind enough to sell me his Rolex umbrella.

The European prices went up when the British dealers were buying from Europe when it was the other way so it makes perfect sense to me.
British dealers will benefit from exports because of the low gbp, it will help sales so don't be fooled best matt |

I'm in London for business and it seems like SS sports models are in very short supply. Two AD's I stopped by said that the deliveries earlier this week were much smaller than before, which may presage a price increase. Great time to shop with USD.

I don't belive a price rise if initiated would have anything to do with Brexit. For sure any negative impact to our currency (I'm a UK resident) is due to the uncertainty caused by leaving EU and the political fallout but I'm sure this will be just a blip. We have a good financial institution and countries want to trade with us. If the rise happens, it will be because it has been on the cards. I have heard of a price rise for years but never seen it so we're either due one coincidentally timing with Brexit or we will be left alone as I can only imagine our market delivers Rolex excellent performance per capita which they would not want to impact.

Global Superbrands like Rolex are known for 2 things: 1. Squeezing as much money as possible out of their market 2. Adjusting prices when currency rates change significantly. Second just happened in he UK and will remain - they will increase prices Cartier already did |

Rolex will increase UK prices, if only to halt grey exporting. Anyone who thinks the low price of the Pound is a 'short term blip'' is likely to get a rude shock. Rolex aren't stupid, they know the UK economy will be depressed for many years. They will price accordingly, assuming the pound will continue to fall. Which it will.
Low supply from Rolex will be because they risk losing money in the current Uk market. That won't continue. My guess is 10% rise. |

That's my thinking also. Tough times ahead for the British economy, certainly for the next year or two. |

In London on holiday. AD said Cartier increased prices 10% last week. Would make sense for Rolex (and others) to do likewise...
