I had some nice movado watches back in the day. First few watches I bought many years ago. They're long gone and now I'm Quartz free.

All the time. The Seiko tuna is a great change off pace from my usual Rolex models.

I have a citizen that my wife got me while we were dating about 9 years ago. It's engraved. She also bought me a wood watch for the "wood anniversary". I do not wear them often but they have sedimental value Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have some that I like a lot and would definitely wear, but the batteries are dead. I've decided that I will no longer buy any watches that need batteries - I will stick to mechanicals and solar watches. The last two times I've brought my watches in to have the batteries changed they've f'd up my watches. No more.

Yes daily. I work in a sometimes dusty environment with a lot of machinery. It cost me Ł40 (reduced from Ł80!) and it looks a lot better than it deserves to for that price. I've had it for a year now and will change the battery myself until it breaks, afterwhich I could smash it with a hammer and consider it Ł40 well spent.

Yep... Have an Omega Speedmaster X33 Gen 1, Gen 2 and Skywalker. Love them all. There are a number of other good Analog/Digital watches that are worth owning (Breiitlong Aerospace and Emergency come to mind). Any Oysterquartz lovers out there??

Seiko 7548 quartz watches are great for when we are practicing and competing in racing shells. I never have to worry about scratches, water incursion, or whether it is time for queuing up for the next race start. I have a few for variety in dial colors and strap choices.

First really good watch I bought was a Heuer 2000 Professional back in 1985 before they became TAG-Heuer. I've still got it and a wear it from time to time out in the garden and doing light jobs around the house.
It's been a great watch. It still looks good and runs bang on. |

Yes. The accuracy and lack of fuss is absolutely delightful, but you do give up some character. Quartz watches are engineering marvels...even the cheapest of the cheap ones. It's amazing that such a complex technology has been so democratized.

Hi,
Another "yes" here. A Rolex Oysterquartz Day-Date was my daily wearer for about six years, and an OQ Datejust for another two after that. Now all my remaining Rolexes are either manual wind or automatic, but my Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classique has a quartz movement, and I still wear it quite often. Yes.
A Casio Pathfinder and, my latest acquisition, a tongue-in-cheek Casio A168 with the cheesy faux-gold plated look.

Yes I give my Tudor Submariner a break on Sunday with an El Cheapo SS purchased at at Air Force BX years ago. I give it a break on yard work and exercise with a Casio Illuminator.

Several. My only expensive one though is a vintage Omega Seamaster 200. Others include a Swiss Army, a Bulova dress watch, and a Universal LED. The wife wears a Wenger diver when working outside.
