I can't get the Tudor Black Bay out of my head. But can't decide if it will be the black or red bezel.

Asking Whats next on your list? is the most dangerous question one can ask on this forum. To me, at least. I immediately ask myself, yeah! WHAT IS NEXT?! And immediately start browsing.

https://monochrome-watches.com/the-h...rt-five-b-uhr/ I don't think you read the right information because a large majority of Luftwaffe bomber navigators wore the issued the 55mm b-uhr of one of the 5 companies. They weren't being stylish and the watches were equipment that were turned in at the end of the mission. Depending on how the aircraft was laid out, the navigators either wore them on their fore-arms or on their thigh, similar to modern pilots who wear a knee-board. So if a Luftwaffe crew member chose an IWC as a personal watch, that's irrelevant, but IWC did supply 55mm navigation watches to the Luftwaffe and they look an awful lot like this reissue. Here is a Luftwaffe crewman wearing a 55mm navigator. The plane is an He111 btw, a very interesting medium range bomber from Battle of Britain fame. Now the car analogy isn't a good one because VW isn't reissuing Kübelwagens just as Porsche isn't reissuing Panzerjäger Tiger tank destroyers.

I have had a nice little RM run, with another on order......so don't have too much planned except adding back the AP ROO RG that I traded and shouldn't have.
Stoked for a NIB one though! JPS

I'd like to try the vintage market next - a nice 5513 or something similar..... but it is a minefield which is helping me NOT get my fingers burnt at the minute!

great thread, i absolutely agree with everything you said regarding attitude to buying watches
currently nothing on my list as i am happy with what i have but this may change...the new air king and explorer 1 are both pretty nice although...if finances allowed i would jack in the whole collection (and add cash) for a Richard Mille

Started saving for a vintage Red Sub. Borrowed pic from forum member who obviously takes better pictures than I do.

Next on my list probably a Daytona C in SS or if a YG Daytona C comes out. I would probably opt for that.

Pretty much have the Rolexes I want (barring any new introductions at Basel). The only addition I can't decide on is the Pt Daytona. Any other additions will be other brands.

I'm on board with you! Daytona C with white dial. Love it! However, I'm 5 more years from another watch. I just picked up the BLNR so it will be a while. Who knows, maybe by then....you can actually find one in the AD for retail price.

Probably a Speedmaster for me. Although I'd love to splurge on a RG YM or WG GMT!

Pretty content with my AP / Rolex collection at the moment. But have contemplated trading in the whole lot for a Richard Mille 011 titanium and a SubC and be done!!

I think I'm about to pickup the blue YM. Then a Daytona-C but I'll wait for the hype to die down. One promotion away from a PM Daytona or a DD40. A BLNR somewhere in there. Let's see what happens. I hoped to chill out for awhile. I bought 3 watches this year and I thought I was done for a while now I'm about to trade one of mine for the YM.
When I was broke growing up, these are the problems I dreamed of having...LOL

What's next...that is a good question, my friend.
I could see 3 main directions for my collection. Stay the same and just enjoy what I've got. I'm in a pretty good place right now and like what I've got. Build up the SS portion of my collection...Daytona-C, EXP2, and/or a LVc. Get a Skydweller and go pretty much PM. So...who knows. |

1. 116500LN (white dial). Will buy it as soon as AD calls me or I can find one from an AD but chances are bleak in the short term.
2. SD4000 or Pelagos (black dial) for my upcoming B-day! |
