Awesome! I'm flying into Seoul on Friday the 23rd!!

Spending Christmas with a great friend who is stationed at Yongson.

Kinda finally full circle for me as I was in the 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Casey in 1981-82.

Haven't been back to Korea in 30 something years. Looking forward to seeing how it has changed.

First, thank you for your service. Second, It might seem like a whole new country at this point

I'll be in Ichon-dong, which I believe is also in Yongsan-gu.

Hope you enjoy Christmas in Seoul

My view: Han River and Han River Park

Hidden Hills and Palm Springs for us. Nice break from a midwestern winter with extended family. Love the side trip to Santa Barbara as well.

Steve any recommendation on ADs, greys and finally are there any Rolex at the airport duty free? Gonna be a tight four days for me, wish I could get together for a beer. Have a great time!!

Going out for some "authentic" Korean food Friday night with some Korean Army guys which means lots or maek-ju, shochu and mokoli I'm sure.

There are two ADs at Incheon: one at Lotte Duty Free and one at Shilla Duty Free.

There are a number of other ADs: one in Hyundai Department Store, at least 2 in Gangnam, and probably others I'm forgetting. If you do buy, show them your passport and they generally will fill out the tax refund form on your behalf.

Regarding grays, used/vintage shops have gained popularity. Specifically, Doota Department Store near Dongdaemun has a big secondhand luxury goods shop. Apgujeong (this whole neighborhood is nice and worth visiting) has a "Secondhand Luxury Street" but I haven't been inside the shops

Off from the 23rd until the 2nd; I can't wait. Family and friends for the holiday. I'll miss my son and daughter in law on the West Coast however. Peace to all.

We're off to Israel tonight and we'll be there through NYD. We don't celebrate Xmas anyway. My niece is being bat mitzvah at The Wall on Monday and we're touring Israel as a private group while we're there.

We just got back from Rome and will be slow-roasting a leg of lamb this weekend, to enjoy with a nice selection of fresh produce bought from the market in Campo de Fiori just before we left.

Merry Christmas to all

Wow. And I thought Abu Dhabi produce was pricey.

Have a great Christmas Adam.

We don't have a large family and no kids so its a great day off. I'm working for Christmas Eve and all of New Years. I don't mind and there are plenty of people who are sick on holidays or have emergencies.

I went through that with my dad over the summer. A tough time made tougher over the holidays. May God ease your burden in this time and bless your dad with a rapid recovery.

We are home with the cats, going out to a very nice restaurant for Christmas dinner, and watch Christmas movies. No relatives this year because of my health issues, we want to focus on getting me healthy.

I spent time in my hometown with our extended family (ie. brothers and sisters and their kids). Loved being in my home and on my property. Best 6 acres on God's green earth! Pecan trees, barn, garden, HOME.

Now, as a Methodist Minister I have returned an hour away to our Parsonage. 2 of our 3 sons are already here. Number 3 is on the way.

Plan to hunker in the bunker to watch all the Star Wars episodes. Plenty of eats and snacks and a nap or two. We will leave only to watch the new Star Wars today and celebrate the Lord's Table tomorrow at our Church Services. I love celebrating Easter at Christmas!

Great post, OP.

Merry Christmas and thanks to my TRF friends, you lift me up on long and tiring days in the Ministry. The Lord gave me you.
