For a day at the beach I just take my GShock. Just easier between the grime, sunscreen, sand, etc. Out of the 2 you mentioned I would take the Sub due to its uni-directional bezel vs bi-directional to avoid accidental bezel movement when clogged with sand.

If it's water resistance, both are fine, irregardless of how deep you go. 100 meters for the batman, plenty robust.
Sub, no need to mention. Lol. Take what you feel like wearing. If it's safe , I would take both so you can switch in between. It would get boring wearing just one..smile. that's why you get 2 of a kind in a way..and you never know if one gets messed up.. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

Yea, I agree but I wonder how much owners of both struggle over the choice as they over lap their practical capabilities on normal family water activities on a vacation. This almost boils down to unless you are actually going on a serious dive, the BNLR will work every bit as good as the Sub even snorkeling.

If you were going to the beach on a family vacation would you wear a Sub or BLNR?
Beach you say? This!

I'd choose the Sub for a beach trip.

I'd wear the sub because it's got the brushed finish if it were to get near the sand, but honestly, I'd probably leave it in the room safe when going to the beach. Tan lines, ya know.

My personal rule is that if I can't decide by travel day, I have to wear the FlikFlak... has a way of focusing the mind.

I'd wear the GMT for the flight and Sub for the beach. Have a great time.

Sub without a doubt - the sand would kill the PCLs.

I have both and have taken both at different times. I wouldn't say either is a clear winner. The BLNR is pretty versatile, you can where it out for dinner or casual or to the beach, GMT function is hand for travel. The Sub doesn't show scratches as easy, still great for going out, is a little less noticeable if that is an issue, but I don't know. When I had a YM TT I wore that on Vacation and it was great. That is the beauty of Rolex, most of them pretty much go anywhere.

I would take both if that's an option and if not I would take my SubC ND (since it's vacation after all )
