Had mine since 2012 and never wear my 16610 or 16660 because it is just such a great watch.

I don't know about predicting the future at all, but I have had my LVc for three years now and it's never gotten old for me. I'm really fond of green though, and I recognize it isn't for everyone...but I wear it because I like it, regardless of external factors.

Don't overthink it...get what you like. I've got a feeling if you like it now, you always will.

5+ years and love it.

Before buying it (and flipping a white 16570 for it), I never thought about "the long term" when stalking the watch. I just knew that I thought it was the coolest and best watch for me. If you have to "think about it", it probably isn't for you (IMHO).

Oh, and green isn't my favorite color, either.

I don't see why not. I can visualize an older gentleman wearing it. I don't think it will outta fashion at all. Many say owners will get tired of LVC quickly, I have mine for years and still loving it.

I'm a blue guy... every day I have blue suits, shirts, ties, etc, and l it is without question my favorite color. Having said that, I wear ZERO green, and do not particularly care for it. I have a hulk, and despite my general disdain for green as a color, I LOVE the watch. It contrasts very nicely, and just POPS regardless of outfit, and with no green anywhere else in my wardrobe.

Coffes4closers is right. Green happens to be my favorite color too so that's a bonus.

Like many have mentioned, green isn't my favorite color either, but I love this watch. I, by far, get more compliments on this watch than any other I have.

Just got my LV on Sunday. I love it and have gotten a few comments on it already. Never got a comment on my Daytona or TT DJII, my 16710 gets a few. Get it, wear it, love it!

I think it is a very cool watch, but I don't think I would ever buy one for fear of tiring quickly of it. Maybe once I have all my grails and money to simply burn...not there yet though.

Thanks for the input. Some of those pictures are very compelling. I think I'm going to go for it. The questioning comes when I'm at home trying to figure things out but when I'm standing there with it on my wrist I know it's the one for me.

I have an LV and love it. I wouldn't have it as my only watch but in addition to a SD, sure. It doesn't sound like you are trying to amass a collection so if you want some balance and are not committed to sports models, a dressier piece like a datejust might be an option to consider.

Try it out. If you don't love it, you can always flip it for little to no lost. Life is too short for what if...

Don't listen to the naysayers. It is a timeless piece that you can keep forever as your only watch, or part of a collection. As an only watch, it becomes you signature, or something that defines you. And that's pretty cool. The green is far more subdued than some of the pictures indicate. My brother wears it as his only watch. It goes with everything just fine. And, it will always befar more rare than as standard SubC Date.

I rather enjoy the splash of color it gives. It's a great one to age with!

Kermit. True anniversary Sub. Green, but not too green. Hard to imagine EVER feeling my Kermit is too green, too obvious. YMMV. Certainly no offense on Hulk. It is a lovely watch.

The LVc is an incredible watch.
It isn't for everyone, but I love the fact that it isn't for everyone. Since owning it, all my other watches have become boring.

Seriously one of my favorite Rolex watches ever. I just hesitate to buy because I feel like green might not wear well depending on what color shirt it's paired with. But I totally love it, just a stunning color

Buying a Rolex is a stretch for me so my question is will the green grow old as I age. Not really over the next year or two but say when I'm 50 or 70 even? Is the green timeless enough to keep for decades and pass on to my son?
I don't know what I'll like in a few years, let alone what you will like.... all I know is I love it now
