Yes, it did.

I don't have anyone on here blocked or ignored. I will admit there are some that I scan over their posts quickly sometimes, but sometimes I read them closely and just laugh (whether funny or ridiculous) But the different types of people is what makes this place what it is. We don't all have the same taste in watches or the same lifestyle or the same sense of humor but at the very least tolerance should be a minimum requirement. It would be a very boring forum if all everyone liked and owned were submariners and daytonas.

In no way am I saying anything was done wrong by anyone in this thread and even if I am a nobody here anyhow so my opinion matters none.

I'm not on the thread yet, but I know you have me on your list. So I figure, I'll make it 5.

You won't see this, but I hope it gets back to you somehow.

Why post? If you don't like someone, or what they post, just ignore them. You don't need to post things like that. It's s cheap shot. It's a way to hit and run. It's a sucker punch.

If you feel the need to engage in the debate, at least allow someone to respond. In my humble opinion, you have chosen the path of a coward.

Personally, I really enjoy Mons posts. I find his dry humor funny. And I like him. Not everyone will. And that's ok. It's a forum, a community, and there will be dissenting thoughts and opinions posted.

But to throw out an insult, to make someone feel bad and run...

Well, that's just a cowardly way to go about things.

And btw, wow, you have got some long list. Probably says more about you than the people on the list.

I used to visit a music forum where they eventually removed the post count. However it is useful for identifying newly registered people with very low post counts, they used some sort of member classes(like newcomer, seasoned, veteran) for that instead. It worked quite well and got rid of a lot of crap.

x2

For those who choose to add members to their ignore list, could you please follow through and actually ignore them? The "glad I can't see your post" remarks are coming off like taunts

x3 Occasionally, even a knucklehead will post something really funny or insightful.

An ignore list feels a tad arrogant to me, and takes away some of the personality that makes TRF so awesome.

The thing that 'makes' a Forum is the variety of characters, personalities, views and perspectives.
I find that almost everyone has something worthwhile to contribute at some time.
You don't have to like or agree with them. That's what makes it interesting.
If I only wanted to interact with people who liked and agreed with me I'd only talk to my Mum.

Well said Brandon.

I think TRF is the best run forum of its kind period. I'll let the moderators do the blocking for me

Why does one need an 'ignore list' when they can simply choose to ignore certain posters and OPs on their own accord?

Over reliance on technology? Inability to self-regulate? Can't be bothered by the minions? Too cool for school?

The Ignore list blocks PMs, too, so is a useful function if someone is bothering you that way.

And it's been advised before...if you don't like someone, put them on Ignore. It's actually a useful function that helps keep the peace around here, IMO. Some people prefer to avoid confrontation.

On the post count aspect, I will admit to trying to get over a few hundred early on to establish myself on TRF.

You can sort on post count on the Community page. It shows why padding post count is a useless endeavor. No one cares, and there will always be someone with more than you, so why worry about it or track it?

Wow, that's pretty low and insulting.

I guess this is your way of payback for me calling one of your replies for nonsense mumbo jumbo on a subject you obviously have no clue about?
