If I stashed mine like that I would never remember where I left it. I can't even find my car keys and I TRY to leave them where I will find them.

I store my Rolex in a small wooden box(the kind that are sold at craft fairs)....keep your original box in the closet, so it will stay clean and neat in case you wish to resell the watch

If it is not on my wrist they are in here.
The boxes are in here too, but the watches are
not in the boxes. I rotate daily and I don't want
to mess with the box everyday.

Since Joe isn't here tonight, I feel free to share an old joke about a young girl and her mother who are robbed while traveling to the new West via wagon train. I can't tell the whole thing, but the punch line is "You know, if your aunt had been here, we could have saved that fifty pound sack of flour."

Please feel free to ban me permanently.

In a watch box that I keep in a safe deposit box at the bank. The boxes are kept in a box!!! If someone wants the watch on my wrist and they get past the dog, don't set off the alarm or wake up my wife (who sleeps lighter than the dog!), they will find that I take pleasure in supporting the second amendment.

I plan to order a safe for the house when I return home. I'm currently residing in an apartment at my work location so do not want to order a safe for this temporary location. I searched Walmart on line and could not find the book safe. However, if you google for diversion safe, you will find many sites selling the old fake soda can container to keep small items in as well as locking boxes that look like books.

On the nightstand, haven't seen the original box since the day I bought the sub, it is in the closet somewhere.

Recently, I was up at our Michigan place and didn't have access to a safe. I wanted to "hide" my Rolie and wear my Luminox Navy Seals watch to the dunes with the kids. Somewhat forgetting about my Rolie when we got back, it was only minutes before the five year old came out into the living room with it in his hand grinning. I thought I was crafty in thinking up a good hiding spot. However, the five year old found it in minutes. A determined thief would find it as easily too. Lesson learned! If you want it safe, keep it in a safe when it is not on your wrist. The same goes for things that go bang!

p.s. forget about the book hideaways, the electrical outlet devices, shaving cans, hollowed out rocks, toilet tanks, sock drawers, under the mattresses, etc. Any career thief and even moderately experienced thieves know all the tricks. A good 900lb safe a home alarm system is about as good as it gets on your own. After that, use the bank's vault.

Since I just purchased mine, I haven't thought too much about a safe place. I have a 90lb American Pit Bull Terrier and don't think too much about home safety. She does that for me

I just got mine last week and it has been with me since then. I bet I can find a place around the house to hide it but it is not going to be for a while.
I would rather wear it and have a smile on my face.

I have 3-4 watches that I wear in rotation for 1-2 weeks. Currently, they are : SS Sub Date, Explorer 1 and my SS DJ. 2 of the rotation watches are in a winder and one is on my wrist. My others (TT Blue Sub, Sub non-date, Sea-Dweller, and GMT II) are stored in my safe at home.

My extra watches are on an Orbita watchwinder. I use the battery option so it can be stored in my 700 lb gun safe.

The original watch boxes are stored on a lower shelf of the safe.

My jeweler told me it is best to keep them in a winder so that is where they are. The winder is hidden in the master bathroom.
