I bought my Batman from AD, and a unworn YMII from DavidSW last year. Condition-wise, both are undistinguished, at least for me.
As always, YMMV.

Hopefully you meant "indistinguishable".

I'd like to mention that I have always been the one to appreciatively extend the thanks to David after my multiple buy-side transactions. After all, he's the one hooking ME up with amazing watches at incredible prices. Of course he's appreciative of our business and that should go without stating. I think it's also safe to say I've always been appreciative of the opportunity to pick up like-new pieces at exceptional bargains, along with next day delivery.

As far as the hang tags not looped through the bracelet upon delivery, that's entirely unacceptable!

I'm new here also, but what exactly is the 116610? and w/e the other number was? I assume these are model numbers or maybe serial numbers? Wouldn't it be easier to just use the model name or some abbreviation of the name instead these long codes? Just a thought... ;)

I just sent you an email as my first time hearing about this

I will exchange for you with another or we can make an adjustment to reflect being unsatisfactory. Either way I will make it right by you

Thanks for the catch. Yes, the "newness" conditions of both watches are "indistinguishable" for me

I've bought three from him. Two with all the stickers and one preowned. One of them had some stickers with the edges coming undone, but not that big a deal for me. There is a sub at me local AD that has a really messed up sticker on the clasp. This is brand new from an AD. Some people are just going to find something to complain about no matter what.

You need to realize that the vast majority of watches sold do not get sold straight out of those plastic coffins.

Do you have any idea how many times any random watch sitting in a display case has been manhandled by the public. It's pretty gross when you can see tons of oil and fingerprints on a watch that will just get wiped down by the staff and sold to someone. That's just how it works.

Even if you specify that you want an untouched watch that comes straight from a coffin, we see plenty of stories here of ADs letting customers handle watches that are already spoken for.

I can understand legitimate complaints but some people have unrealistic expectations.

Complaining on the forum about some writing on an outer box. Cardboard, for crying out loud,
takes the cake for me.

I get the "complete set" bit, but mint boxes is ridiculous.

Seriously, buy the watch you like, not the box.

For heaven sake, do people honestly expect a watch that is untouched by human hands? Stickers in pristine condition? Never out of the coffin? Do people honestly count all the stickers on the watch to see that they are all there? FFS, get real.

The same people are the ones that use the phrase "tool watch" and call it "character" when it gets scratched.

That's nothing. Over on the Patek sub forum we had an entire thread about whether or not owners would be allowed to keep the brown cardboard shipping box!

Forums get all kinds; most it seems are "normal" collectors and aficionados. There will always be some with sticker/box fetishes, agonizing over the first hairline, or cat's whisker bezel misalignment. To each his own, but for me it would seriously inhibit my enjoyment of the watch were I so afflicted.

DavidSW seems to go out of his way to make every customer happy, regardless how ridiculous the complaint appears to the rest of us.

If the stickers are all intact and all the bracelet screws look like they haven't been touched. I would say thats "unworn"

Wow. I am surprised at some of the expectations but not at all surprised by DSW's prompt reply to address the posted concerns from the one dissatisfied buyer who may actually have had a legitimate issue.

For my part, I have bought three new Rolexs with stickers from him over the last few years. Every single one was in perfect condition - as I would expect it from the AD. Two had warranty cards already signed but I expected that as it was specified clearly on his listing.

He was always courteous and appreciative of my business. Much more so than I can say of some ADs I have worked with on other purchases.

Buy with confidence. Ask questions if need be. If seeking absolute perfection - go to an AD, inspect in person and pay the premium price for the peace of mind.

If you want a watch never ever held only way was through an AD. But personally i don't think thats the only characterization of "Unworn". A watch in an AD displace case is unworn BNIB and its probably been toughed by hundreds of people. Its never been sized and its never had its stickers removed.

I agree on all parts with a small exception. I do indeed find the dial/rehaut misalignments sloppy business. However that's purely Rolex's responsibility and has nothing to do with a 2nd hand seller as that's how Rolex ships them out. This would be a simple fix with minimal investment IMO. Either that or lose the rehaut engraving entirely. It wouldn't be aggravating if it was just the crown, but when every single letter is supposed to align with a seconds tick mark, it does bother me if it's off.

And 100% agree with what I've seen of David. Literally comes on this thread reaching out to the guy who had an isssue. That's fantastic service.

If you can't handle a scratch or a mark, just pay full retail and buy it f2f. Whining about some "handle marks" that you will do the first
week after have got a good discount it's not fair to the seller IMHO.
