Love that rhodium dial above there!
I've had my DJ41 for a few months now and LOVE it. I think the clasp is perfect because it has the Easylink. I love the look of the Super Jubilee and the President but without the quick adjustability I wouldn't buy them. I wouldn't change anything on the DJ41. |

I got the DJ41 smooth bezel jubilee and flipped in 2 weeks . Felt very light and bracelet not as robust. Glad I was able to procure a DJII 116334 from DavidSW in a swap

The clasp of jubelee should be hidden. A BIG NEGATIVE.

I was sporting a Day Date 41 a few weekends ago. In regards to the hidden clasp, well it came undone while I was wearing it! Not good as it was 25k watch (grey preowned) haha. I think I like the Oyster...

I'm not a fan. I think it's just too big.

I like the DJ41 better than the DJII, but I think the 36mm is the quintessential DJ and always will be.

I did not know the clasps weren't hidden on the jubilee option/the jubilee bracelet wasn't the "super jubilee" bracelet on the DJ41, that is interesting!

The only negative is the missing look of the hidden clasp. Besides that the jubilee is the sturdiest one I've worn, easy link clasp is perfect. I had a 1601 DJ that definitely didn't feel like this one. The bracelet feeling light and comfortable was a positive for me. 40mm is my sweet spot I don't go above that size and I wasn't even contemplating this watch, I was getting a GMTC LN but when I saw it and tried it on, fuggetaboutit!!
Got the smooth with the jubilee black dial and I rock it wth slacks or Jordan's. Even started wearing my WG Daytona less because of the DJ41. Trust me go get one!

I hated it at first, just too big for this style of watch. And I still think it looks huge on most wrist shots. But I haven't tried one on yet. I have a 7.75" wrist so I don't think it would look too big on me probably, but still, bigger than this style of watch should look.
The smooth bezel version is growing on me slightly as a sporty version of the DJ...still looks a little big in most pictures, but the smooth bezel helps it pull it off with a sporty look. I could maybe consider one of those. But for fluted I think I'd have to stick with 36mm. Still, I need to check one out in person to fairly judge, admittedly. And I kind like the idea of a non hidden clasp jubilee...would be interested in checking that out for sure. |

Funny that was more or less exactly my thought when I chose it. I was contemplating an Explorer 1 and then I saw this, I couldn't get it quick enough!! The smooth bezel jubilee combo is against the grain but it clicked for me.

wow. that blue dial looks amazing. i was all about the Chocolate face before. Now I think the Rhodium and Blue are both great looking.
Is white gold/steel normally cheaper than everrose/steel and gold/steel? |

I was gonna buy rodhium and it's 2k cheaper give or take but the combination of chocolate dial and rose gold won me over. And I won't tell you about all the praise I get for the watch. You should try them all

I wasn't a big fan of the DJ2 proportions but when I saw the DJ41 I thought it was perfect. I haven't tried one on, but seeing them in the person they looked huge especially compared to my DJ36. I also don't like the clasp but I'm glad they didn't make it hidden or it would completely rob the DJ36 sales.

Really like mine. I like the look of the hidden clasp on the 36mm but the extension that is hidden in the new clasp is great.

I have a DJII but tried a DJ41 on recently. I really liked it and think size wise it suits me better. Struggling with the decision of trading the DJII for a DJ41.

I was about to post a similar thread but asking the opposite: Did Rolex make a hit watch with the Dj41. Anyway I love the watch I never liked the 36 as I found it to be too classic/old looking and I had one :( I was eying a Daytona or BLNR but since I'm always suiting up I went for the dj41 but with the oyster bracelet as I want to wear it on weekend as well

Not for my 6'8" wrist. Luckily 36mm is still an option.

With the exception of the clasp on the jubilee bracelet I wouldn't have any other "negatives" to say about the 41.
There are differences however vs the II, and depending your your perspective could be improvements or not. The 41 loses close to 2mm in diameter vs the II, so if you have larger wrists (like I do) and want a larger watch, you give up a little of that with the new one. The batons and bezel have narrowed/softened in the 41. Most people feel that is an improvement. I would suggest for some it is, for others it isn't. These changes cause the 41 to have a slightly more dressy/less sporty appearance vs the II. Some might say the II is more "youthful" and the 41 is more "mature", so maybe the 41 is better as a dress watch and the II a little better with short sleeves casual. Again really up to the person individually. |

I like it in shop windows, love it in the photos on the Rolex website. Tried it on my wrist in an AD a few times and it just didn't sing to me. Perhaps I'm trying to kid myself that I'm still too young for one, even though that is not the case!
