Well it looks like it will be a long season. I still don't understand how you don't get surgery after the week 14 injury.

That's right. The subject was talked about yesterday on the NFL radio network as the story broke. As much as I like Moore he really is a career backup.

Yes, I agree. He's an okay QB at best and will not take them far. I assume Tannehill is geting 2nd and 3rd opinions, but if he wants to be in the NFL for a while you have to repair that knee. Interesting times in Davie, FL.

Sounds like the Dolphins are going to give it some time and then decide, he could be back, but even so he's most likely going to have limited mobility for a while. His value and asset to the team is his escapability and out of the pocket improvisation, so I don't see how a he helps with diminished mobility but they must see him, even when limited by injury, as their best option. Dolphins have good team and a great defense, if he were healthy I could see them making noise in AFC.

Hawks will be similar to last year. Inconsistent on offense with an aging and often injured D. D will still be solid if healthy, but some of the new guys need to make serious progress to add depth. Our number 2 draft pick injured himself on an ATV...

It will all come down to the O line. If we can block we will make a run, if not, another first or second round playoff finish. Power rankings have us at 7 which is probably pretty accurate.

Hope springs eternal! I am going to Pack-Vikes at US Bank in October to try to slow down the Viking ship on its route of conquest through the NFL in 2017.

Guess they had to do it, since he knows the offense. Wonder if he got anything approaching $16M, as he did last last year for Chicago.

Edit: One year, $10M say the news reports.

His best year (with Gase) was 11 INT's and 8 fumbles. The Fins are getting an entitled diva and turnover machine.

Don't know if Cutler will be good or bad for Miami... My personal opinion is that I am glad they didn't go with some... other currently unemployed QB. I hope he stays unemployed and that's the only thing I'll say about it. Not saying WHO mind you... just saying....

OK... you guys figured it out.... Tony Romo.

He never lived up to his combine hype. He benched 405 and did 23 reps with 225. He beat most of the linemen...seems a waste of some freakish athleticism.
I agree he has never been a good quarterback.

One thing about Cutler I respect. I don't know of another NFL QB who is a Type 1 diabetic. Takes something to get through that.

I really don't identify with professional sports teams, but having lived in New Orleans for so long and having lived through some of the worst years, I can't help but be pleased to see them play well.

For the most part, I just like to see well-played games, regardless of who wins.

The NFC South, with New Orleans, Carolina, Atlanta and Tampa Bay could be one of the best in the NFL this year if they all play up to their potential.

That's a big if. Carolina had potential last year, but couldn't pull it together.

As for Cutler... wouldn't he have to beat out Moore, or, is he def getting the starting job?

If kaep left his Castro shirt at home he'd probably have a job right now. Giving cutler 10 more million is despicable. He's useless.

Considering Cutler spent the off-season as a retired player, and given he was never all that known for his physical fitness, I wouldn't be surprised if he has injury issues most of the year. It's tough enough being a good quarterback in this league when you're devoting full time to it. Hard to see him walking into camp at this point and enjoying a healthy, effective season.

Yup, there goes the Dolphins season. Lucky if we go 8-8.

Sucks for Moore, but I'm sure he'll get some PT after Cutler chokes.

Look at the bright side, Cutler will bring some drama to your locker room.
