Unless you want to be the one peeling the stickers.
I don't care so much about peeling the stickers as I want one that's unpolished/not refinished and in good shape. Unfortunately, again with a lot of these guys, you see ones listed as "mint" that have very obviously been refinished. And the ones that haven't are often quite beat up, and still listed at $9k.

I wouldn't buy nos anything five digit/four digit unless it's going into a safe for twenty plus years.......that said,I wear everything I buy so I'd never buy nos (unless I see something ridiculous low priced). I don't see the 16610lv pricing ever coming back down.

Couldn't agree. The Hulk has the stunning dial. Huge improvement.

Agree the Hulk does have a stunning dial - that was never in doubt.

I just feel the 16610LV offers a nice compromise between all green of the modern LV and the all black of the LN.

It also bridges the gap nicely between vintage & modern with its mix of aluminium bezel and large hour markers.

All in all a very versatile watch that appeals to a wide audience hense the reason prices are on the rise as less and less nice clean examples become available.

Regards.

I know of two full set LV's in Canada for sale around the 10K mark...that's just under 8k USD. I also know of two sets that sold around the 8.5k (6.7k USD) just this past winter.

These jacked up 10k plus US prices lately are a little over the top...It's not a rare watch by any means.

The Kermit is a nice watch indeed, but that's quite an upcharge for an anodized green bezel. Who knows, it may keep going up, but I don't think the true value is there IMHO. Cheers!

so what your saying is the 16610LV is only different because of the green bezel?

just making sure....

Nice and complete ones are pretty hard to find. With the said forum dealers have done a tremendous job pumping this market.

Nope. The Kermit has the green bezel insert and a maxi dial and hands. Other than that it's just a 16610. I love the maxi markers on this watch. But I can't get on board with the inflated prices.

I hope the price keeps going up. I got in late in the game and just got it earlier this year.

I've been mulling trading it for a Hulk, but something tells me I'm going to regret it.

I don't think I've ever "quoted" myself before but I posted the above in August of this year.

A worn Flat 4 missing one sticker just sold on here in less than 72 hours priced at $ 22,995. Who knows what the actual sale price was, but it was never bumped.

Unbelievable the fast price hikes these are making.

Flat 4's aside pre-owned LVs are still sold in Canada for around $10000 or less as compared to the US. The hypes not everywhere. The 16610LVs obviously go up in value but somethings off lately in regards to Rolex.....hypes gone into overdrive.

If the 16610LV is any indication than spend your $ on a DSSD D-Blue. Assuming discontinued in same window that the 16610LV was sold (7-8 yrs) the DSSD D Blue will command $30-35000 within 10 years of being discontinued.

Target these

I remember back around 2012-13 that people were saying the 16610LV was 'limited' in value.

Were they ever wrong. Dont make same mistake w the DSSD Blue.

Kermit is the only 2-tone sub and first maxi dial surrounded by white gold. And only 7 years production. I dont see any reason of not raising the price.

Try sdwatches. Tony has several. A huge NOS inventory in general.

I think the way prices are going up for the LV currently, I can see Flat Fours being priced out of the marketplace for most people ,which will be a shame. I only bought my V serial Fat Four a couple of months ago ,but think its already jumped up in price which is nice but wont be sold .
