I would just get it color-matched relumed. Honestly the lume in the hands are so fragile! It is becoming more accepted these days and I don't find it to be a big deal as long as its done professionally and matches well.

Nooooo!
It is such a nice watch, and the repair is so simple. the movements are very basic on these, cheap and easy to repair. An FEF 390 is a pain. |

Hey all! I'm new here and found this thread quite interesting. Why? Because I now own this very watch.
I first inquired about it from the seller in about March of this year and he did not seem too intent on negotiating much. So I left it and ended up purchasing a different piece. I revisited the idea of acquiring a blue Tudor sub more recently and noticed that this watch was surprisingly still for sale, possibly due to the poor image quality of the original listing. More research revealed that this watch was previously sold/listed by HQ Milton (I'm unable to leave link but it is easily searchable). Satisfied that this was the same piece and that I could reliably expect an authentic Tudor 76100, I went ahead and bought this one because I was still pining for a blue sub and had just missed out on a nice blue snowflake for a decent price. I also inquired about the noticeably larger missing lume in the lollipop hand and, to give the seller a little credit, he stated that his watchmaker noted the defect before it went out. In retrospect, it would have been suspicious if he was surprised at the lume loss. Anyway, I had already decided I would probably have the hour hand fixed before buying so it wasn't that big of a deal. I would still have appreciated some notice before shipping though. As I live in the LA area, I've already shipped this one to LAWW. I have previous experience with ABC Watchwerks who serviced an old Speedmaster for me not long ago, so I will be able to give a small sample comparison. Anyway, I thought some of you might be interested to see the final result so I will be sure to update the post with pictures after repair. |

If you're not into it, return it. Someone else will love it just as it is. And you'll find another watch that's perfect for you.

Well, here's the finished product from LAWW. Hour and minute lume repaired. T19 crystal. Case refinished. Very impressed!
