Purchased an AK (black dial with sticks) in May, 1988. I was studying for the Bar exam and decided I needed to treat myself. I spent a little over $900 and immediately worried how I'd ever pay for it if I flunked the Bar. Well, I took the Bar exam with the AK on my wrist, passed, and wore the watch every day for years. I have quite a few more watches now, but that AK is still one of my favorites.

Cheers,

Chris

I've used Rolex as my timekeeping device for 31 years. First Rolex was an OP Date, the non quickset model, purchased in 1977. I gave it to my uncle in 1986 as a birthday present.
