i do have to say the Zeitwork is in my head now too. No one had the regular version in WG which would be the one i would be personally interested in. But, it looks like no other watch out there. Its uniqueness is making it start to push ahead of the Dato for me too.

The dato is a better looking watch by traditional standards but the Zeitwork is more unique. For that category of watch i can't really decide which attribute is more important to me.

That said, i saw a 15407 double balance wheel openworked this weekend too. If i could actually get one through traditional channels (not grey market) I would actually pick that one over either of the ALS watches. Its that nice and pics do not do it justice. Its way nicer than even Limited edition of 50, RO ultra thin tourbillon openworked which i also saw, and that did nothing for me.

AP does care where you get your watches from. Buying grey market ruins any chance of factory trips etc. I can't say what (yet) but they are doing some interesting things to combat grey market and there will be some changes so they can better track who is buying the watches and where they are ending up.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the event - more than I thought I might, if honest. It was great to meet Ash, Sam, Tyler (again) and Kevin, and we had a blast.

Highlights were APSC with our hosts Daniel and Maria and a memorable visit to Watches of Switzerland Regents Street, where we were given the full red carpet treatment and made to feel like VVIPs. Very nice indeed and thanks to Kevin for organising that. The trouble is I've now been introduced to Lange & Sohne!

Thanks to Ash for funding the breakfast at the Savoy - it was lovely. I plan on taking my wife there soon for a return visit soon.

Here's to the next GTG!

Im sure you can add that to the standing swag order you have with AP since your bag didn't have one

Its way nicer than i thought initially.

Oh wait, you probably have one already.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on the ROC but I've fallen on an end game piece!

It's been in my mind since Friday and know the chance of securing one is slim to none but I'm going to try my upmost to figure it out.

I will need to withdraw from the 15202st and 5164a lists and just see if the stars align.

Don't laugh as I know the odds are against me but I need the 15407st on my wirst

Wish me luck

Sorry to say this but brand ownership, or literally ready to pull the trigger, is a prerequisite however once that box is ticked.........

I think Tyler was also taken with the 15407. Think the Zeitwerk might be an endgame piece for me too, usurped the Dato now.

Yes I believe so! That will teach me to ask Daniel if he had an openworks to look at while us guys are in the office.

He's probably more likely to be able to get his hands on one so maybe I'll have to convince him then to sell it to me
