Yeah...the YG sub/BLRO combo is a good one...but I seem to recall Richard not being crazy about the BLRO.

So I will stick with my recommendation for the Smurf/YG GMT.

Wow! Great memory! You are 100% correct....love everything about the BLRO.... except the bezel colors. I prefer the more vivid blue/red

I would keep the YG Submariner and move the WG Sub for either a WG Daytona or a WG DD40. I just sold a WG Sub and while I always wanted one I knew it was not a long term purchase. I have done all the colors with watches and it is real nice but it is hard to beat YG and Black for a color combination.

Yes, Blue Sub and BLRO would be my YG/WG choice here, otherwise I'd sell the Smurf for the YG GMT as you have a WG Daytona. Blue sunburst is too nice to give up.

You have a great collection. I would suggest sticking with what what you have. My personal preference would be WG Sub, BLRO (though the order between these two changes periodically), blue YG Sub. The green YG Sub is some distance behind the other three

With your collection I would definitely swap the Smurf for the YG green dial GMT. You would have the best of both worlds with the sunburst blue dial and the matte green dial. Also you would have two YG pieces and two white pieces.

That is killer, Richard!

However, that pic makes me wonder...since you have two subs and a GMT, how awesome would just adding the YG GMT to the mix...leaving you with 2 of each?

WG sub is definitely a keeper. Did you miss the GMT immediately after you got rid of it?

Not immediately....just as of late as I scroll thru pics, etc...
It's just keeps striking me as "unique" vs the others

You've got the diver, chrono, and GMT categories covered. In my opinion, YG = DD. I'd flip the YG Sub for a YG DD40. That would be a terrific foursome, and with no redundancy.

I think the yellow gold GMT with Green Dial has WAY more presence than the yellow gold sub, but it's a tough call, because they are all beautiful pieces. I love the gold GMT hand especially.
You've trimmed your collection down significantly. It's making me feel guilty about the size of mine now!!
I'm glad to see the LN hanging in there amongst such great company. I love the LN, it's a modern classic for sure.

Thanks Mike. Yes, sold quite a few recently, want to settle between 5-6 I'm thinking. Want to REALLY enjoy/wear what I have, instead of have outliers sitting around. Yeah, kind of going between having 2 WG pieces or 2 YG pieces....

Real tough call. I thought about this one a lot. As beautiful as the Sunburst Sub is, I’d flip it for the YG Green Dial GMT.

The PM Sub, GMT and Daytona are quite a trio.

I’m not one to have multiples of the same reference, regardless of metal, and I also go for different dial/bezel colors. Not to make it any harder I’d loose the SS GMT (assuming you go green GMT) and pick up another reference. Explorer, DJ etc, etc......

Good luck, Rich

I would get the YG green dial back, in place of YG Sub. I really like the YG Sub but the WG is a keeper and the Green/YG Sub would be good to mix things up. IMHO

I'm a huge fan of the green dial GMT! It would go great with the Smurf (as u know). The GMT is such a unique watch and you already a PM blue dial piece. Go get that baby back.....

At the end of the day...I may go with 2 YG pieces after all ! Many compelling arguments to go that route.
I will, as always, march to my own drum beat...as they say. But always love seeing the opinions and wise advice of all my like-minded friends here on TRF.

Number 2, that way you have some variety, instead of two different versions of the same watch. [There's no way I'd wear a modern PM Rolex, though. Vintage, maybe.]
