You're *absolutely* going to love the matte dial. This Daytona is one of the most strikingly beautiful, bordering on dazzling, lol, ever produced. And it's got a cool looking, motorsports vibe to it. Great for weekend drives in the country. Very big congrats. Mine says hello. Regards, -Rick.

My wife needs to spend a little time with your wife.

Congrats, Sam...that is one of the best WG dials, IMO.

It is nice! I haven't really thought about that aspect, because i felt that the women should serve the man...You know like on Austin Powers... lol J/k She and all wives/girlfriends, but more so with wives I think are totally special!

I'm so sorry Ghettocard! I went thru a divorce which left me decimated. It took everything I had and then for another 16 years of payment. I guess we can call it retribution for marrying a serial divorcer'...I was her third. Anyway, the best advice I can give you is don't make the next woman pay for all the stuff this one is doing to you...

I would gladly go thru my last divorce again, if I knew I would be with the one I have now. and That's saying a lot!

Be brave soldier. the Best is yet to come!

Hey Rick, this is my first one aside from trying a 116505 RG at the AD. ut you know, when I did try it on, it was like a light went on! It really did feel comfortable and I love how it felt drapped over my wrist. It was like we met again from a past life...lol really. So, I anticipate an awesome experience.

Oh! and your's is the brother from one big mother. (Rolex) it does wer very well on your wrist, and the Matte Dial is just puddin on the cake. I like it because it doesn't look exactly like a panda, and the colors are subtle. I mean the whole package is Stealth x2. I see you have also taken very good care of yours. What year is it?

Hey Larry, it's funny that you mention that! I was also under the same spell. It must be that unique-like minds think alike. I'd be more than happy for the wives to hang out, I'm sure they could learn form each other... Mine is preparing us for a move to one of our rentals, until our dream home can either be found or built... Does your wife have the necessary spending skills required...?

I hear ya! I bought the wife a 116655 which I thought initially that she would take it off like her other jewelry and I could use it, but you knwo what happened...Yes! she never took it off and I was with ought one of my grails!

The funny thing about the wife wearing one of your grails, is that you always get to see it from an on-lookers perspective and all the details that you might miss if it's on your wrist. So, really I do prefer to have her wear it, and while I'm wearing mine, I get to see two Lovely Rolex (s) at the same time!

Be brave out there my friend, and we will see u one day

Hi Sam, thanks so much for the kind words. Mine's a V7, which places it near the end of the V-serial run (2008-2009). I'm the 3rd owner, so I'm thankful that the previous two owners wore the watch carefully. It's truly in fantastic shape. And it's ridiculously accurate, too, within +2 seconds per day. That's just crazy unbelievable for an 8 year-old watch. You'll also appreciate the calibre 4130's 72-hour power reserve. Just one more reason to love the Daytona line. Congrats again on your terrific incoming!! Kind regards, -Rick.

Wife has negotiated, and closed on a deal for a PM Rolex! Surprise Incoming...

The newer 116509 seem to have a slightly different bezel so the paint doesn’t come away.

Here’s my G serial.
