It's a tough call! The Battyman is a great watch, but so is the presidentials. Have you considered a Hulky or a Smurfster? Also, you could try a Platonica, or maybe even a Kermits? Don't forget the Coca-Colex and The Rolex Pepsi Edition! But my choice would be the Presidentials Rolex.

1st watch? Only watch? Batman. I have a Presidential and a Batman - love, love, love the Presidential. But it's not an every day watch. The Batman can be your every day watch. Or, better, a no-date SubC.

It depends but most people will have a SS watch as a daily (hate the word) “beater”.
I would say a DD could be your only watch, but you need some SS for off-days. This could very well be a Seiko of some sort. But if you really propose the BLNR vs. DD, I would get the DD.

These models are, to me, polar opposites in a wearer's taste and age. I wouldn't pick the President, well not at my current age and taste. Likely my arsenal of choice another 10-15 years.
Batman looks more suited to the environment of my work and personality.

President, if you have the budget, you should definitely get a discount.

If your job is more labor intensive a SS watch may be better suited. Not saying the DD can't do it, but it also depends on how much you care about dings and dents... My BLNR is full of scratches and dings because I wear it like I own it. No Stickers, on my wrist, in the water, mud, in the field, when I was still in the military, traveling, hiking, etc. So I know it's tough. I know it'll handle the daily grind. But it's got the scars to prove it. If you're ok with the DD in those situations then I would go DD.

The more day to day watch, in my opinion is the BLRN. I prefer the DD but as a one and only I would go with the BLNR.

I'd push for a discount on the DD from your AD and try and get both! LOL
It really depends on your style. Personally, I am going to be on the hunt for a Batman come summer, but I tend to be very casually dressed and the GMT function is useful in my travels. Either are stunning additions |

I am so torn. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to buy. I know I want to buy something. Its just there are so many good watches. My kids are trying to tell me to buy a Jacob diamond continents watch. LOL.
My kids kept hounding me to listen to this song. Cute. LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwk5OUII9Vc |

When you can’t decide why not go for both! Honestly I wear the BLNR a lot more and it’s better daily watch.
