Personally I would not. Much prefer the 114060.

I have both and I would recommend keeping both. I would always choose the BLNR over my ND but the whole reason why I bought the sub was because I wanted a better daily than the BLNR. There's enough room to keep both IMO.

I wouldn’t but I’m not a fan of the blnr. If you like it though, then why not.

OP, I actually just did this two weeks ago.
I have mixed feelings about it. The Sub fit the bill on what I wanted out of a watch. Low key, great watch, last forever, and a clean dial. Honestly, I bought the BLNR bc of the hype and the opportunity. It is a very nice watch and the dial/bezel combo is great. It doesn’t blow me away but neither did the sub. I guess I knew I can always get the ND sub back and the BLNR may be harder to obtain at a decent price in the future. I don’t know that for sure, but it did weigh on my decision They are both well rounded and fine watches. Good luck.

You'ld rather hide behind a woman's skirt like a coward than flip a Rolex like a real man.....or is it the other way round?

I definitely wouldn't. The sub is a great daily wearer, and while I like the BLNR, to me its an occasional wearer in a collection.

I started with a Subc (3 weeks). Traded for a LV (2 weeks). Then picked up a BLNR (1 week). I love my duo now. I do miss my Subc though since it was my first Rolex. My thought was it was easier to replace if I really need to buy it again. The Subc has a beautiful dial. I actually didn't miss the date. Now that both my watches have a date I like looking at it. I will say the Sub is heavier and I like the non PCL's. I do love the BLNR bezel and GMT function. If I had to choose one I would keep the LV.

I'd trade a no date, but a sub date I'd have to really think and ponder over.

Absolutely.
The GMT complication is awesome and infinitely more useful (to me) than a time only watch. The wrist presence and look of the BLNR are miles ahead in comparison as well. |

Never buy a watch based on what other people think. Buy and wear the watch that YOU like most, not what I like.

The 114060 is pure Rolex minimalism at it's best. I say add.

I'm in the "add" camp too but if I had to pick one or the other, I'd pick BNLR every time. I love the blue in the bezel and it's not so bright that it stands out like crazy. It's just a nice little touch of color. Plus the GMT function is something I actually use. The Sub-C's bezel is very bland in comparison and not as useful as I don't dive with a Rolex...I use a dive computer and wear a Seiko cuz if I loose it, bang it up, break it, etc...so what.
I really don't understand the "overhyped" comments. The BLNR is a beautiful watch. It's not overhyped, it's desirable because it's gorgeous. Plus it's the first time Rolex has used a Black and Blue bezel, it's a two color single block of ceramic and it lumes blue. My only complaint is the PCL but I wish none of the stainless Rolex watches had PCL, not even the Daytona. |

I have the 114060, and I'm have the BLNR arriving today. I'm not 100% sure if it's a keeper though, so I'll have to see how I feel once I have it on my wrist a few times. I will most likely never sell the 114060. I suspect you'll know better once you can see the BLNR in person.

I went through the same thought processes when I was looking to buy my BLNR but in the end decided to add to my Sub (ND) and am glad I did. Both get equal wear and I appreciate both individually. Yes I may now trade my Sub in for a SD4K but a diver will definitely stay to complement the BLNR. Similar but different enough to have both!

Well we'll just have to disagree. I don't think it's "loud" but then again, I only own two BLNR's so what would I know...
