Boy, I've had to look up many of the brands mentioned here that I have never heard of.

I agree with you. Nothing looks better than tailored clothing/jeans as opposed to loose, made for many fit. The problem is, and I truly don’t mean this in an insulting way to anyone, majoirtity of the population cannot pull them off. You truly should be slim, to wear slim. |

I squat. Not a lot, but enough that skinny / slim fit doesn’t work. Straight fit for me, 7 for All Mankind Standard looks and fits great.

Wow - I'm surprised no one has mentioned Carhartt.
For real work jeans, quality and good looks: https://dungarees.com/mens/jeans I've been wearing them for 15 years now. They've slowly taken my closet over from Levi, Wrangler and Lee. |

I recently discovered Joe’s jeans, and I highly recommend the kinetic line.

What kind of jeans do you wear?
Wrangler (like the retro) Cinch, Ariat and have a couple pair of C of H for going out fancy.

KÜHL Ryder for non traditional “jean” colors. I like their khakis and greys. For traditional blue jean colors I go with Stetson.

I am married and in my mid 50's. I could care less about accentuating my body with form fitting jeans. I want comfort first, style second. Even my teenage daughters loathe skinny jeans. Just like most fads, they will be gone and forgotten one day.

I'm a bit confused about where and what with my Levis.
My recollection is that for decades, I have always bought 'Straight-leg Regular 504's' but the fit and material has differed quite noticeably over the last decade. I have a more recent pair that state 'Made in Pakistan' and appear to be a slightly different lighter denim, with just a suggestion of stretch, and an older pair that seem slightly heavier denim, absolutely no stretchiness in the fabric and to my recollection, were not made in Pakistan (label removed for some reason).

A lot depends on body type/legs as well, so certain style of jeans look a lot better on certain people than on me for example. |
