Think I’m leaning toward the 214270! Use the extra $4,000 to take the wife somewhere nice or maybe put something on her wrist for a Change :P

Option 2 with the BLNR for sure. Option 1 is still great but for me personally there's no contest.

Neither.

You have a solid SS sports Rolex pair with the 16570 and 114060. Go on a great vacation with your wife and take the time to find a 3rd that you really love.

Personally, I'd probably look to another brand for more variety. Plus, something on a strap....some usual suspects: Panerai? Speedy Pro? Nomos?

If #3 "has" to be a Rolex, then I'd still look for more variety than an Explorer II or BLNR. How about a black GV? 16613LB/116613LB? New TT CHNR? DJ41 with jubilee?

Good luck!

I say option 1, because each watch serves a different purpose. The Explorer II and GMT are both GMT watches, and like you said, the GMT is visually similar to the Submariner, even though they are functionally very different.

I’d even go one step further—skip the Explorer and get an OP39 instead. It’s a dressier option and further differentiated from the Submariner.

You made the right choice with the Exp OP. It looks fantastic on you. Plus, the BLNR would have been redundant in your collection. You already have a GMT function and a ceramic bezel with your other two pieces. Kudos.

I love my Explorer, but the BLNR has never really spoke to me in the way other models have. I'd say go with the dressier piece in the Exp, but I'm most likely in the minority here.

BLNR for me. I haven’t had the chance to see the Exp1 on my wrist so not a fully informed opinion. From pictures it doesn’t sing to me though.

Decided to keep my Pepsi 16710.

So now no need for the BLNR.
