If it is the D500 you want, buy it , buy it now, $20 k is a lot of money, but it is only money, it is here to be spent, you only live once.
More watches you don’t want won’t compensate, you could also buy 100 Seiko with that money , not sure you’ll be that much happier. Buy the Daytona, be proud of your achievement, wear it in heath and enjoy every second you have it on your wrist. |

I’d get the Daytona. I get the value point, but I wouldn’t correlate more watches with being happy if you dont wear them All. Get the one you love. I also get the ‘don’t pay over retail’ argument but It’s the way the game works for the majority of us these days.
Find the best value you can and go for it would be my shout. |

Get the Daytona! That itch will never go until you have it! Good luck!

Agree. You wear 1 watch at a time. Get what you want 10/10. YOLO. At the end of the day it’s just money. Get the one watch that will put a smile on your face. We make money everyday. If your going to spend over 10k on any watch it’s a first world problem. Lol for that kind of money there should be no compromise. You will always want the ceramic Daytona so get it now while you can. Wear in good health my friend. And btw using your logic you could save another 10k and get a 40mm DD. Lol. Just saying. There is no logic when buying a 10k plus watch. |

I would not and will not pay the current asking price for the Daytona-C. I don't want one but believe it is not worth it to me. With the money you would spend on the Daytona you can get a lot of other watches that are just as cool as the Daytona. I like the Batman but believe it is another over hyped watch. I would look at the LN instead or really get creative and look at the Polar Explorer II. The DJ and if you want a chronograph the Omega Speedmaster in the 60 options you can buy it in and have enough money let over to buy a nice Tudor. Good luck.

Daytona. I agree that if it’s your 10/10 you will always second guess yourself if you dont. Down the line you will end up flipping something at a loss and get it anyway.
Or Just stay off of TRF I find looking ar wruw thread gets me impulsive and beats up my bank account. |

A tough call...such a premium for the DaytonaC. Personally I’m more of a fan of the prior model, all stainless, white dial. And I love the GMTII, it has always been one of my favorite Rolex models, even more so than the Sub. And my Explorer Mk1 is my daily wearer. Guess it’s clear where I stand !! Good luck in your decision.

If you want the Daytona, just wait and get it MSRP. If you get the BLNR you won't be satisfied, you will always wish you had the Daytona C and will end up buying it later.
Plus its more likely to hold its value, I don't think I would pay $20k for it though. I'd just be patient. |

Go with the one you REALLY want. I am not a fan of markups but I'd rather pay a premium than choosing "second best" as that would not keep me satisfied long term.
