Now is that $197 purchase outright? or is that dependent on signing up for a 2 year contract? how much is the 8gb if you just want to purchase a 3g model?at walmart

I was thinking of getting one of these I-Phones. I have a Nokia N95 and I'm forever dropping the dam thing - which has put me off buying a I-Phone cause they look easy to damage - just at a glance.
I had no idea of the cases you can get for them. |

if u want my opinion, cases add bulk and lint from ur pockets. Iphone is a techno wonder to say the least. It's a miniature laptop again to say the least.

Whats the 'full purchase' (not - contract) price over in the States for the new 16gb 3g version?

Yes, if your looking into getting the new 3G Iphone without a plan, it's going to be some big bucks. As said before somewhere in the (at least) $4-700 range.

Just to comment on the unlocked-u want it unlocked so u can add the video camera app and a few other nice options that apple does not provide with all the money u spending.
