No bad choice. I would go with the Polar Explorer II in 42 mm. To me it is a sleeper in the Rolex line-up and can be had for a discount and a very fair price in the pre-owned market. And you do not see one on a lot of wrists.

tough call between the sub and GMT... You'll eventually get both so go with whichever you can get first.
