It's strange. I prefer a TT DJ 41 on the Oyster to the 36.

But I like the DD in yellow or rose gold better at 36mm. Thats a lot of gold, at 36mm it has panache... at 40 it's way too much.

Great article on Hodinkee a few years back comparing the two and I agree that 36 is the way to go.

6ft1 250lbs with 7 3/8's to 8 inch wrists btw...

Both 36 and 40 are great options, however I'd likely go 40.

The DJ2 also features the oversized bezel same as the DD2. Honestly I think it looks a bit bad, definitely not as good as the refined and correctly proportioned DD40 or DJ41.

I keep the DJ2 anyway as it was a gift, but I would flip it for a DJ41 if it wasn’t. Newer proportions are much better and aesthetically pleasing.

Great collection you have almost the same models I would choose.

Does the Rosegold GMT include ceramic pins in the bracelet similar to the DD40?

Hm, I’ve not heard that it does though I don’t think bracelet flex and weakening is such an issue with the oyster so maybe not necessary.

The 36 has the best proportions and balances precious metal and size well.

This is closely followed by the DD 40.

I have nothing good to say about the other models.
