End of an Era
Well folks, as the title says ... today mark's the end of an era. My partner and I have parted ways.
We started a business together as 50/50 partners in 2001 and the sale of the company is final. Celebrating alone as the wife and kids are cottaging this week which is probably best since this is sort of a bitter sweet moment. Bitter in how it all ended, but sweet in that the business was very successful and brought alot of very fulfilling experiences and relationships to my life. Regrets, yes I have a few ... but I have to say, I'm blessed. I wouldn't change a thing EXCEPT the following (not that anyone is asking ) 1. Make sure you have a legal partnership agreement. 2. Ideally, do whatever it takes to do it on your own. 3. Life is too short. Dont sweat the small stuff. Kind of cryptic I know, but it's all for the best and all good things must come to an end. Onward and upward. Just enjoying a quiet dinner, in my favourite place with Radio Head ~ High and Dry playing in the background (one of my favourite songs) and a good friend/bartender to talk to.
