Perhaps a Werewolf may find use for one of these Moonphase watches for keeping track of moon cycles . . .

Please do not be upset over this post. Just having a bit of fun -- and YES the Cellini line is often underrated, in my opinion. The genuine meteorite moon disc is quite a nice touch, too.

If you like the moonphase.... buy it.
Its hard to compare dress watches. I tried.... it can be frustrating.
I bought my moonphase because I like it..... love wearing it.

Here was my reasoning. although other brands do make nice dress watches in this price range, I wanted to stick with Rolex. And all the Pateks I like are in a completely different range.

The DD40 was first on my list for a long time, but for now I wanted something more under the radar, and a little less common (I know it sounds strange to say DD’s are common)
I also considered the oyster flex Daytona, but realized chronographs aren’t for me, also hard to get without a markup.

The moonphase caught my eye when it was first released, I liked that it was the first time Rolex has done this complication in over 60 years, and it’s something you don’t see that often, and once I saw it in person it sealed the deal.
