Of course...and I'm not even sure why you would need to ask that question. Who is going to spend thousands of dollars on a watch that they wouldn't consider to be a "part of their collection?"

With Omega, I've looked at the Aqua Terra several times but it just doesn't do it for me. The dial treatment with the planks just doesn't work for me. Nice movement, but just doesn't sing to me. Speedy Pro, the ultimate classic Omega, too big, manual wind, no date.

I keep coming back to Rolex.
The classic Seamaster is their best watch imo... 300M Ceramic- Blue
It's fantastic, from its dimensions to the build quality.
The subtle polished / brushed elements of the watch are perfect. It's a hard wearing watch. You'd struggle to beat it, even the Submariner I would say struggles to beat it, it's on par imo.

The only things that let it down is the standard clasp has no adjustment.. but you can for an extra £100 buy an adjustable clasp that is as good as the Rolex Glide-Lock.

I prefer Rolex but Tudor is a great watch as well. Both are different watches and each to their own.

Yup, love Tudor. I don't look at it from the perspective of is it better/worse than Rolex though. Its a different watch brand with a different price point with a different design etc. It is really cool to say "the only other watch brand Rolex produces" though.

I think for the price point it competes in, it always is a top contender.

Absolutely. Couldn't afford a zenith Daytona to go with my collection so I added the next best thing... and it has a date... and I'd wager 79260s with Oysterdate dials were produced in significantly fewer numbers than 16520s.

I consider Timex as part of my collection.

Why not Tudor?

Really like Tudor designs of late. Tried a couple. Really like them, but at least the Pelagos and Black Bay did not wear on me well. Just did not feel right, so moved them on. If they wore better on my I would have several in my collection.

Consider the language barrier. I took his question to be asking if Rolex fans would consider buying Tudor watches to add to their collections.

I'm in the same boat. For me, the first set of BB's were just way too thick and chunky for my taste. The BB58 is a great size (a little smaller in diameter than I normally wear but close enough) but I'm not in love with the snowflake hand.

It would be nice if Tudor made a line w/o the snowflake hand.

Tudor's are best bang for the buck. But if I am spending even a few grand on a Tudor, I'd rather put that towards a Rolex. Some little things do bug me about there designs though that turn me off. Like size, crown guard etc. But they look like great watches.

I really love that watch. They've been very tempting to me over the years.

Thanks It really reminds me of a modern interpretation of a 6263.

That date-day is gorgeous too. I'm considering one of those in the future as a kind of everyday better. Either a 76200, 38mm Aqua Terra, 16200 or maybe a 36mm Oyster Perpetual.

Coincidentally, having owned all three, figuring out my daily came down to a 76200, 16200 and the original 39.2mm Aqua Terra (which I still have in a drawer somewhere) for me, too.

I ended up picking the 76200 because it's a little unusual, a little more vintage looking than the Omega, and, honestly, I really just like having a day complication. I had planned on just getting another 16200 until Adam turned me on to this Tudor.

Except Rolex don't make them. Both companies have the same parent. It's like calling your older brother your dad.

I really like the newest model of Aqua Terra. I had the chance to try it on at an AD and I love the size and fit. It's also just something different from what I own. I love the display back on that too and would like to have at least one watch in my collection where I can stare in at the engine.

I guess it really is between the 76200 and Aqua Terra 8800. I, however, am not a fan of the Tudor Jubilee they come on.

That's true now, but the vintage models were essentially just Rolex watches with a different movement and different name on the dial.

Yes they were shared between the two and for a long time built in the same establishment. Removing the crown logos was an unnecessary cost. The context of your post were however door the non-vintage models.

Yeah, I had to source a Tudor Oyster, like the 76200 used to come with.

IMO, the first AT is the only one that isn't overwrought, which is why I bought one a few years ago. The 8500 version and later just seems to me like it'll be dated looking down the road.
