It can be done if you know what to look for, both in the seller and the watch.I usually figure out the if seller is full of sh*t within three or four questions regarding the watch`s history, most scam artists can`t answer all the questions well enough to make a believable story.

Deals can be had on Craigslist. Best time to look for watches and other things is AFTER Monday Night Football and on Tuesdays. People need quick cash when they lose a bet and that's your time to buy. Deals don't always pop up, but it does hurt to check.

I have bought quite a few Rolex but as some on here know I have also been stung with fakes, so far i seem to be getting my money back.
I bought vintage rolex as I can afford them and I like them.I had them valued at a Vintage Rolex dealer and also had one refurbed (polished and a nick removed) Two of the watches, the dealer offered 300 pound more than I paid for and one he valued at 60 pounds more than i paid for it so minus the £50 I paid for valuation, checking if fake etc, I made £10 on.. I will never deal with craigslist again. I will only buy and sell here on trf. People are rude misinformed and a hassle to deal with. I do not have the patience to meet with a potetial buyer for a sub C who would pay for a steal of 6500 and then offer me 4,000$ cash. I have had buyers who i went to meet far away and last minute dont show up. Never hear from them again. My phone always gets spammed with scammers no matter what I do. I dont care if I can get a watch cheaper of CL I never want anything to do with it again.
