The model you’re interested in seems to have everything right about it. I really like the elephant a lot, if that’s the watch that you want and the price point that you’re comfortable with the go for that one but 1300 more for a brand new model doesn’t seem right. If it’s only 1300 more for the brand new one then the elephant must be fully priced, can you negotiate this price down a bit?

I thought that only original owner can extend to 5 years. Could be wrong though.

Not least as I believe that you would be overpaying for the serviced model, but at this price difference I would advocate taking a new piece and enjoying the experience of doing so.

i think its set up so they can do that and restrict it only to original owner because its not the warranty sold with the watch that has to follow the watch, but AFAIK in prictice it seems to be transferrable.

Weirdly enough when i sold my registered AP, about 5 months later i got an email from AP thanking me for registering so i think someone else bought it and registered it again but they emailed me though. It disappeared from Watchfinder at the exact same time. So it seems to be possible, but there also seemed to be a glitch when someone did it.

Bought and registered in April 2017... here is the re-registration email from whoever later bought it in march 2018....

Buy new and have peace of mind that you have a 5 year warranty - thats what I did and no regrets!
