Got myself a Christmas gift... my first Rolex!

I've always sort of convinced myself that I appreciate value and quality over a "name," and that's why I've never really wanted or needed a Rolex. Or at least that's what I told myself.

I've had everything from vintage Omegas (70's Seamaster chrono, 90's Dynamic), Tudor BB, Nomos Tangente, Tag Heuer Aquaracer, and a few more in between. And I love those watches still.

But now that I actually own a Rolex, now I "know." There's just something about the understated beauty of this thing that I can't stop staring at it on my wrist. This really is my perfect watch.

Anyway, it's an Explorer I Mk II, and it's a Merry Christmas indeed
