Looks good. Heading up to one of our local resorts today. 26" in the last 72 hours should be a good one.

Mountain looks empty! That's awesome. You must have gotten a ton of runs in.

Yes! A Beautiful Day, hardly anyone skiing, no wind, not cold and we got in a ton of runs!

You are right! We will both have helmets before our next ski trip. It's been hard for us to change and we know the right thing to do is wear a helmet.

I bought my first helmet to keep warmer on a day when the air temp was -38 degrees F below zero. I kept wearing one and wouldn't ski without a helmet now.

A couple of years ago, I fell on an icy steep run and hit the back of my head on the hard snow so hard that the liner broke completely away from the shell of the helmet. I'm fairly certain that I would have suffered a serious concussion or worse after a fall like that. Instead, I put on my cold weather helmet and finished the day with a minor headache.

Looks terrific! Was in NYC for the holidays and we rented a house upstate for New Year's, got to do some snowboarding in Hunter and Windham mountains. So much fun! Enjoy!

Lazy Day Today... Hanging around in our PJ's, relaxing by the fire, watching TV and the snow coming down out the window.

Forecast is for several inches of fresh snow this afternoon and evening. Tomorrow sunny 36 F, no snow and light winds 1-4 mph. Perfect skiing conditions?

I hope you are having a great day where ever you are!

We barely got up here last Saturday before chains were required. They don't make them for Porsche MacanS if we got turned back we we're SOL. Don't think we will need them tomorrow when we pull out of town.

This is what it looks like out our window this morning. BEAUTIFUL!

More pictures to follow...

Joey- Following up on this thread to let you know we bought a helmets. I was surprised how many options there are. THANKS For pushing me a little to just get one!

We had to cancel our trip to Lake Tahoe this week but will be heading there soon. With all the snow in California this Winter we will be skiing well into Spring!

This is the one I got: Smith Optics Variance Adult Ski Snowmobile Helmet - Matte Charcoal

AWESOME! Love skiing
(The shoulder injury I sustained as a consequence of a nasty fall last weekend would disagree with me )

Great to see you bought brain buckets, Larry. I have an slightly earlier version of that same helmet. Twice in five years, I've hit my head on hard, icy snow and I'm certain I wou.ld have been knocked out. But it's everyday benefit is keeping me warm.

Remember, NO GORBY GAP between the helmet and goggles!

My deformed shoulder and clavicle feel your pain. But by the next season, I'd pretty much forgotten about it. I've skied 35 days so far this season (a little more conservatively) and am having a great time.

It's a Boot Glove kind of day on ski patrol duty. The air temp this morning is -21 degrees F. But there is no wind, and the sun is shining, so the light on the snow is great.

I've seen videos showing that trenches needed to be dug for the lift chairs to pass through when closer to the ground!
